4' X 9' of camo netting for a buck. That's nice. You could even upgrade with a couple different colors of spray paint for another $.001 per sq. ft. Jute and camo netting are pretty expensive. Nice find!!! Edit: Just saw your other post. Guess the spray paint wasn't my idea. :(

Most faux-fire props use computer fans like these. Two fans aiming up at the fire will keep the silk flipping like a real fire. You would have to have several holes or one big hole in the bottom of the pot to get some up-flow. This is a link to a good tutorial.

If you do buy a saw from them, you MUST buy a quality, name-brand blade like a Diablo or Dewalt. It will cut down on the strain you put on the saw.

I would advertise. Post ads on Craigslist and any other free ad outlets. Some people have sheets of foam laying around for years and may give it to you for free or for a low price just to get it out of their way. It's worth a shot. What are your plans for the foam?
