  3. Doll Head Lamp

    Halloween Props
I want to make a creepy baby doll head lamp. I have a porcelain head. It is at least 1/8 inch thick. How can I cut out the eyes without breaking it?
  4. Window Projector Reality Check

There should be an option to reverse the image. But that's really a not important unless you have some writing in your video. Sent from my PalmPilot using Tapatalk

Tip: drill a few small holes in the skull at the mounting locations. This will allow adhesive to ooze thru and lock to the skull. Sent from my PalmPilot using Tapatalk
  6. Anyone else lost their Halloween spirit?

    General Halloween
I know what you mean. Ugh. :( I blame the new Ghostbusters movie. Sent from my PalmPilot using Tapatalk

Please report back and let us know how it performs. It states it will scale up to 130". That works out to a screen size of 9.4' wide by 5.3' high. Which is a little too small to make the skeletons in Bone Chillers appear life size.

Almost all business projectors support vertical display... I know my Epson PowerLite does.
  9. Window Projector Reality Check

Screen: I would look for 3-4 mil white plastic sheeting. Usually comes in 8x25 or 8x20 sizes. Projector: this is the tricky part. Check out the Epson PowerLite projectors on eBay. Look the ones you are interested in up on projectorcentral.com for specs.
  10. Window Projector Reality Check

Well I'm glad you cleared that up. Your original post stated that office projectors are too bright and not the right pick for Halloween projections... Which we all know is totally false. Additionally, you don't have to pay $300 for a good quality business projector. You can find lots of nice...

You left out a piece of the puzzle. Your post seems to indicate that you don't like shower curtains as your projection screen. Please tell us what you use as a projection screen. I used a frosted shower curtain with a layer of black chiffon. Great image. The chiffon hid the white of the shower...
  12. Window Projector Reality Check

Selecting a projector is so much more complicated than just deciding how much you want to spend. You may find a cheap toy projector that does the job or you might find it to be to blurry or dim. A few weeks back I bought my 1st projector, an Epson Powerlite 821p, for $40. Its an LCD business...
  13. Static: “Knock-Down” Cemetery Fence – No tools required for assembly/dis-assembly

    Halloween Props
Nice. One of these days..... I usually just go out and collect the stakes the real estate agents are too lazy to pick up after the weekend. By law they are supposed to remove their "Open House" signs after the weekend, but most just pull the sign off the stake and leave the stake for next...

Excellent work. May I ask where you get your PVC connectors?
  16. Other: Warning: Spirit stores and their customer service

    Halloween Props
I just wanted to posted a follow-up. I contacted Guest Services again and informed them the 2nd Ghost Girl also did not wave its arms. I asked if I could return them to the store. I was told that would be OK as long as I had a receipt and the original packaging.... oh yeah... and it had to be...

  18. Atmosphere Effects: Streetlight shows projection screen

    Halloween Props
Well you might have luck with the black plastic table cloth but I wouldn't bet on it. My results so far... White shower curtain: Even on low, I couldn't achieve a black background. 3.5mil black plastic: Too dark, could barely make out image. Black plastic table cover: Also too dark...
  19. Other: Warning: Spirit stores and their customer service

    Halloween Props
I disagree with the OP. Spirit of Halloween has FANTASTIC customer service. I bought the Ghost Girl online this year when they dropped the price to $130. A week after it arrived I set it up only to find out she wouldn't "wave" her arms. On 9/30 I emailed them explaining the problem and...
  20. Lighting: Dimming lights

    Halloween Props
I'll second the milk jug idea. Take a plastic gallon milk jug and cut out the area where the handle is located. Then you should be able to insert the light and put the stake down thru the pouring spout of the jug. That will cut the intensity of your light down tremendously.
