  1. Fog: The Ultimate Fog Chiller...

    Halloween Props
I used a 5 gallon, aquarium salt bucket (the lid has a seal) and built a vortex style chiller. I used eggcrate (from the lighting section of your favorite hardware store) as the shelf for the ice and loaded it with lots of dry and bagged ice. It worked GREAT with my 1000w fogger, until the...
  2. Mechanical: How did your props hold up this halloween?

    Halloween Props
My new PC 1000w fogger worked great on Saturday night, then wouldn't even heat up Sunday. I ended up using two 400w foggers (one on the chiller I built, which was awesome with the 1000w) to try and get the effect I was looking for. My FCG worked well all night, despite the need for a few...

    Halloween Props
Well, I have the answer on how long my Party City 1000w fogger will last. It ran great during our annual Halloween party Saturday night! Everyone was impressed with how the fogger, combined with my DIY vortex chiller covered the yard in fog. Halloween night, it failed to even heat up. It's...

I hope not, they are supposed to be shipping my costume in time for Halloween! That being said, I ordered Thursday night and the status still shows "In Process"
  7. Fog: which 1000 watt fogger

    Halloween Props
I picked up the Party City 1000W fogger and a gallon of Amscan fog juice last night and wasn't impressed. The fogger does put out more than my 400W and has a pretty fast reheat time (about 3 to 4 minutes), but the density of the fog left much to be desired. Today while haunting around town...
  8. Mechanical: New FCG motor on the CHEAP!

    Halloween Props
Looks like a great motor, but I'm always more comfortable with DC power when dealing with outdoor propsl.

    Halloween Crafts
I'm not sure how much it can treat, but I just finished a twin bed sheet and 2 36 x 6 yard packages of cheesecloth with 1 box in a 5 gallon bucket of hot water and have PLENTY (as in gallons) left.

    Halloween Props
Just a thought, but you might be able to get some clear varnish or acrylic and put red dye in it? I highly doubt that would come off :)
