  1. I can't believe how supportive everyone is. This is my first attempt so I really didn't take a lot of pic's. Yes Jack was carved in the thick foam but the horse head is a thin plastic mold I purchased at Hobby Lobby, filled with sculpt-a-scene from my model train supplies and, attached with liquid nail. The Celtic knot was done free hand on copy paper then cut with an exacta knife.

    You have such a knack for carving tombstones. Fantastic talent! Did you carve the horse head? Did you actually carve all of that detail (horsehead and Jack) out of thick foam, or is some of that thinner foam, first carved and then glued on? I'd love to see some before and after pictures, or a progression pictorial would be wonderful.
