found a photo (not concept art) of Lurch from the Addams Family. I have Gomez (a chase with fencing epee) and Morticia. I really want Fester with the lightbulb...not so sure about Lurch...def not interested in Wednesday or Pugsley. there's going to be a release at end of summer for a Madame Leota, Haunted Mansion bride, mummy and opera singer. I want the Leota and the opera singer. I don't have any more info besides this:

It's amazing all that you are doing for your pumpkins, Col. Kdestra, great score on the patio set...I'd have grabbed that up, too, in a heartbeat!!!

While my few neighbors have enjoyed my decorating for YEARS I'm still the only one. Live in a mostly ruralish area only a few houses on my little dead end road and the only one that has street viewable property. There has been a slight up tick on Christmas lights however... I'm thinking it's because it's more normal and more "city" folk have moved in to the area and built on their little 3 acre plots.

Our weather is, finally, warming up to outdoor planting temps!! Now that our lows are out of the danger far...and our highs are jumping up to 70's and 80's all of the sudden (why do we never have a nice, long Spring or Fall, anymore?? Just right up to 80's...sigh...), I went ahead and started planting my seedlings in ground, outside. Of course, no sooner do I do this and the weather says possible severe storms, tomorrow. Sigh, again. Here's to hoping everything doesn't get pummeled. ...

For sides at first I use rolls of black plastic purchased from the hardware department. It can be clipped using office clips/ binder clips to the bars/poles at the top. just fold over an edge and clip it to the bar. If you look close at the skull dot photo you can see the office clips at the top holding sheets to the bars. We get lots of rain with just enough wind to be a problem here in the PNW so in the end for the big carport tarp buildings we get from harbor freight to make the sides we...

Interesting. If I can get some of each to germinate and get to full size/bloom, it'll be cool to see the differences in the two and what they each attract in my area. I love sunflowers...they are gorgeous and always give me those first "Fall is coming" feelings in the, they give me seeds for the animals for the Winter!

I got my Sunflowers started, yesterday, in my greenhouse. I just kept forgetting to start them...grrrr. Oh well. They are both Giant varieties: the Mammoth Gray Stripes I usually plant and some new Russian Giant ones that a friend sent me some seeds of. We will see how they do as, last year, animals ripped all mine up and the one that made it was broken before it could bloom...sigh... It's getting closer and closer to time to start germinating my pumpkins, squash and cucumbers...counting...

 Well...I guess one is better than none! I hope that one you have, so far, makes it and gives you some gourds! Here's to hoping maybe some stragglers will germinate and pop up for you to give your single one some friends!

Like ooojen and some others, our weather is still too up and down to start and pumpkins or squash. All I have planted outside is still some lettuce and carrots...which recently started sprouting...and I just transplanted some of my flower seedlings from my greenhouse into my fairy garden, which I set up, yesterday, and into pots. We will see how they do with our up and down temps and more upcoming rainy weather (come on, Illinois is already drowning and flooding!!). I still have Marigolds,...

We have everything from 8X8 shade canopies to the portable carport type tarp buildings from Harbor Freight. We have done dot and black/white strobe rooms with the smaller canopies. Did a funeral parlor scene one year using 2 canopies side by side. Some photos in our albums here Cheap black plastic sheeting can be hung on the bars using office binder clips to make sides. For the dot...

I grow up with Walgreens... it was the go to place for testing our TV tubes, lol... getting our photos developed, the cute little 1/2 pint squares of Ice Cream and make-up. It was the only store open on most holidays so it was the place to run out to for last minute gifts for unexpected guests. TV's no longer have tubes to test. They recently changed their one hour photo printing to a machine that leaves a nasty curl in the paper so I no longer use them for that. I don't do make up... I'm...

We used to go but over the years it lost it's appeal for us. Loved the smaller intimate feeling when it was held at the school. Still went when it moved to the BIG city and the hotel. We loved learning from the pro haunters, meeting up with the local home haunters and sharing info. Something changed a few years back, we became less interested in the classes and the vendors as mentioned were more local arts and crafts and a few actual companies in the Haunt business. Learned how to paint...

I think they, the infamous they (society, Hollywood, the media, you pick) has conditioned us to look for and want happy endings in our movies. And by happy, I don’t mean happy in the true smile-on-your-face sense, I just mean the story was packaged up nicely with a beginning, a middle, and an end. Nothing to interpret, nothing to debate. It was just “complete.” While movies and shows like that are great and have a place in our lives, I have an appreciation for those movies/shows that don’t...

I have my Pumpkin on a Stick's sprouting, too. They are doing pretty good. I hope I'll get to plant them outside, soon...but, alas, not yet, as we have possible snow coming this weekend. As for the grow lights, previously I had just been using regular under cabinet lights attached to each shelf in my mini greenhouse. For my birthday in December, my husband bought me an actual LED grow light with the red and blue lights to replace my regular light that fried itself. While the regular lights I...

I pick up cases of bunny peeps for pennies They have a shelf life of YEARS printed on the packages. I then cut the ears in half and the bodies get 3 snips to make 4 "legs" and not I have either spider or cthulhu peeps. Pop 3 or 4 into a snack ziplock and they are the first things I run out of at Halloween.

I actually have a mini stamp collection. It first started off with the lunar year stamps (the 12th stamp in the series was just issued this year!) but in collecting them, it led me to collect a few other “Halloween-ish” (or spooky/eerie, whatever ya wanna call it) that includes the following..... Classic Horror Monsters Alfred Hitchcock

What a amazing job you did on your Creepy Conservatory theme! Everything looks so eerily, hauntingly beautiful. Well thought out with the plants, bats, birds, bugs, snakes, lab, animal skelllys, everything. Brilliantly executed.

That pumpkin is AWESOME!!! LOVE how it's vintage looking. And silhouettes are just so elegant ... love that witch!
  5. Thank you doto. The snakes we had laying around and I just thought what if we glued them together! Had to find some special glue from Home Depot that would work on rubber but with a bit of paint it was hard to tell.

    Hi reaper!
Just wanted to share that I put the purple string lights you gave me in the cauldron and added some spiderweb fluff to the top. It looks awesome! And my potion shelves are now nearly filled! Thanks again!
