I love ahs I did hear evan is sitting out of this one. My fav is the first season followed by coven and asylum my least favorite was freak show and hotel. I did love the first part of roanoke but the second half sucked. cult I thought was done very well it hit all of the sore subjects and really put in perspective of what people of capable of when push comes to shove. I loved the last season. And ryan murphy is suppose to be in with netflix to do a witchy type series on there.

I've done photo scavenger hunt type of games before. Especially easy if all your guests tend to have mobiles with decent cameras. :) For my photo scavenger hunt, I did 13 thirteens. I had either the number "13" or a group of thirteen objects. The first one was in the game instruction sign itself "the first one is free - this sign is one of 13! Take a photo and good hunting!" There were 13 spiders crawing on the kitchen wall. I had a entryway garland that contained 13 bats woven into the...

That is pretty nifty! I'd search around here in the crafts section - I'm pretty sure there are some great potion bottles, flytrap/weird plants, mandrake from Harry Potter, etc... that might work for your next project! I'd also suggest you check out Dave Lowe's site. He hasn't updated in a while (boohoo!) but his past projects are amazing and cool and most of the time made from cheap/free stuff...

keithcorcoran's Maleficient's Castle throneroom (with just some minimalist setups that didn't require a full facade) from a little while back was pretty impressive (should be, the guy is a legend and amazing artist).

I have been going to West Coast Haunters Convention since its first year. It has grown a lot. It is a small convention. Great for networking and education. If you are going to learn and meet contacts it is a great convention. It is not a convention where you will find huge vendors. Most of the vendors sell kitchy home decor, jewelry, art, and basic make up, lighting, fog, sound items. Most of those who have gone for years like what it offers. We are there to meet and great fellow...

Holy moly! I adore this, but the little mouse peeking out of the cake is also super awesome. :D It's so beautifully explained I almost think I could do this one... which is saying something! You didn't even mention your cake/rat setup either and that really sold the whole scene to me. Really, really love this.

I still have my beautiful metal welded one made by HF member Pugsley way back when. It is a thing of beauty, and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it even if I end up retiring from full-on decorating. That thing is easy to store and is so awesome and easy to set up. Good luck finding a decent rig out there!

I recently read Joe Hill's book Heart Shaped Box. I love a good ghost story. I was intrigued with the concept of buying a haunted item off an internet auction sight. Judas Coyne is a rock star who grew up with an abusive father and an enabling mother. Judas grew up in rural Louisiana on a pig farm. After his old man tried to end his guitar hobbie by breaking his fingers, Judas changed his identity and moved on to stardom. He became a rock star for a heavy metal band. After loosing two...

Um... here? There is a classified section of sorts: for sale by individual. That section (will shift this post there shortly) is for folks that are selling Halloween related things they bought for personal use and either changed themes or decided to not use, so could be used or new stuff. If you're not a merchant, that's the area on our site anyway. You need to probably post your zip code and/or give people an idea of shipping costs, and buyer/seller are on their own as far as working out...

I still think I need another surgery to turn it, but at this point the bone is fused, so they'll have to cut it and re-set it. It's frustrating. I've made a lot of progress, but I still have so far to go. At least I'm up and walking though and for that I'm thankful. I've been really bored lately and I'm going to start on a new prop this week - my life-size man eating plant. =)

grave stones

by savagehaunter on 02-10-2010 at 07:03 PM
I am planning on building several toobstones this year. I am planning on doing at least one with raised letters. I also want to get some antique items to glue to the stones and to get the paint together by April.

new year new haunt ideas

by savagehaunter on 01-20-2010 at 10:21 AM
With the start of 2010 I hve been thinking of goals. I need toi kill off the relitivly small debt I have before it gets too big. the second goal is to buy my own place that I can haunt at will and without worry of offending the landlords. I am excited about expanding my haunt and really getting serious about it. As a teen I haunted the yard every Halloween since I could no longer ToT. Then the family moved and most of the old wood toombstones I had were discarded. Over the years I have built

back ground music/ sound effects

by savagehaunter on 09-01-2009 at 08:36 PM
hey haunters. I was wondering what you guys like best for back ground music and sound effect cd's for your haunts. I own a lot of different ones. some for parties and others for haunting. I have been gravitating more towards Midnight Sindi9cate and Nox Arcana tracks for my haunt for background mood setting and combination of the old Disney Hanted Mansion sound effect record from the 70's to more some recent sounds on cd. I still think the old Disney version has more un-nerving sounds that
