Not much happenin' here. I did get the garage cleared out so hopefully starting some Halloween stuff soon. I need to figure out why the Grim Reaper I built last year kept sticking and stopping - that's probably first on the list.
I'd love to see a photo of the clock if you get a chance.
Hey Pursilla! Everyone here has trouble with posting pictures initially. It's just not real intuitive.
I'm just out and on my phone right now, so I'm just going from memory.
I think you create an album first and then edit it to upload pictures, I think. The tricky part is after you've selected the pictures and hit upload, you should have a second window that shows your library in it. I think you need to hit "Save changes" in that window before you close the first one.
If you still have problems, let me know and I'll check it out when I get home. I know I still screw the process up every once in a while.
Oh, btw, there's no way to rotate the photos once they're up. So you want to do that first if you need to.
Hey Pursilla! Awesome that you went though - I bet this is the time of year people start donating stuff. And I'm sure once you're "in the zone" you'll start seeing Halloween potential everywhere. Like you say - lots of time!
Yeah, I'm not 100% sure that its worth the price either. Some of that stuff probably doesn't hold up that well anyway.
But it is kinda nice not having to make everything from scratch when you have a lot to do.
I like the sound of the Grandfather clock! I don't think I've seen anyone do one with a skeleton inside! That'd be kinda freaky.
BTW, if you want to have some animated props (I saw your post in the kicking legs thread) keep an eye open for old animated reindeers at garage sales. The motors aren't very powerful, but you can do a lot with them - and some of it's pretty easy.
Those are perfect! Locked Away sounds spooky and mysterious. House of Leaves sounds to me like something very bad is gonna happen any second! I can imagine Locked Away being played in an old attic, with things like old toys, or creaking chairs making sounds overtop every once in a while. It seems like a nice sort of background noise that you could add sound effects or spooky voices to. Awesome picks!
BTW, did you check out Ravensblight's toy section? He's got some cool stuff in there. I've never looked at the music before.
I probably made too big a deal about the posting on your wall stuff. ( I do it all the time - like just a second ago). We never used to have that "my activity" tab, which makes it a lot easier to tell what's going on.
In other words, don't worry about it too much. I'll see it.
Just on my way home but I'll give them a listen tonight. Thanks for links!
