Hey, I STILL haven't had the chance to make any latex props this year! Im glad you found some hands for cheap. Im going the cheap way on everything im making for myself this year so I understand. I started working at SPIRIT a couple weeks ago so now I have even less time to get anything done. Not enough hours in the day!!!! Hope you have a great HALLOWEEN season!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Mark, sorry about the delay in responding to your message. Life just seems to be sneaking by and I haven't got a darned thing done or bought for Halloween this year. I am starting to feel those occasional heart skips from the stress of knowing the day is creeping up and I'm SOOO far behind!!
How about you?? You more prepared than I am? (I hope for your sake you are!!)
Hey! The hands I have pictured are made out of platinum silicone and it is not cheap! Im going to make some out of latex soon. I know they won't look as realistic but im hoping they turn out good. A gallon of the silicone is over $200 more than a gallon of latex so I REALLY hope they look good! hahaha. I am willing to make you some hands but if they're made of silicone it'll cost ya a pretty penny and it will still be a couple weeks before I get any latex hands made.
My goal was to have a web store set up by the begining of summer and now I'll be lucky to have it up by the begining of next summer! So that's how things are going for me. I have the ability and the drive but not the money backing me! hahaha.
How much are the hands from the one place?
Thanks for the encouragement. I got the report and there are actually two areas of concern that seem to be totally unrelated. On top of all of that, Pixie Frog's graft on her ear drum (May 18, 2011) only took partially. Found out this past Thursday that she'll be going back under the knife for a Tampanoplasty. Her ENT referred us to his partner who will do that procedure. We have an appointment with him on Monday AFTER her appointment with her orthotist. PF has scoliosis and wears a Boston Back Brace. Her new one just came in and she's having her final fitting Monday. I'm feeling the need for a break. OOPS! Maybe not the best choice of words. Some seclusion. That sounds better.
Hidey-ho! The leg is mending. I'm a bit more mobile now. YAY! But, alas, life has thrown me another curve ball. (It's been decided that after 3 years of glaucoma testing, treatment and follow up, that I don't have glaucoma, but most likely a brain tumor. Had MRI/MRA done and there is an area of suspicion, so I'm waiting to see a neuro.) I may have to set my sights a little low on my haunt this year. I have a feeling I'm going to be worn a bit more thin by October. I wish I had a playmate close by. I'd love to work on some projects. It's always easier for me if I have stimulation around. I did get a few more items and prop parts last week though.
