Here he is. I was originally going to call him the Electrified Man, but seeing I'm going with a steampunk theme, he'll be The Steam-Powered Man. I've decided to narrow it to 4 or maybe if I have room, 5 "freaks": the mermaid, the steam-powered man (Frankenstein), a shrunken head man, something incorporating the 2 mummies I have, and possibly one more.
So. That's that. :)
I don't have glass tubes, but I have lots of aquarium tubing, and a whole labfull of various sized jars. Even a beating heart, so that part's looking good.
Speaking of boosting displays, let me know likewise if you're looking for something in particular. Who knows what lurks in the Garage of Wonders.
Now we're off to celebrate Savannah's 16th. Have fun!
Hey boss, that guys' mermaid is quite inspirational, no? Keep me posted on your progress with your Evil Plans. Me - I just purchased my first prop of 2011 from Halloween Overload. It is officially Halloween season here!
Glad to hear you're all doing well. And I'm sure you could pull off the theme brilliantly. I recently saw a thread on here where somebody did the same idea; they built a pond in their front yard, and had a footbridge across it with canning-jar lights running along the sides. It was gorgeous.
And YES, I foresee spillage of some sort over the summer. It's in the cards. *Madame M has spoken. *
Hey there, good to hear from you. I was wondering how things are on your end of the world.
Last week we had a bomb dropped on us - our very closest friends & neighbors informed us that the husband has gone completely bi-polar, cheated on his wife (again), and tried to kill himself. Kinda put our foreclosure worries into perspective, ya know?
On the Halloween front, I was thinking if we're still here in October, I may do a party just for Savannah & Russell's friends, and a small garage walk-thru like last year.
Whatcha got goin' on over there? You still going with the most excellent Bayou theme? Need help painting or anything? Thanks for checking in; big hugs to the whole team, and let me know your progress & if you need anything.
Thank you for the kind words and encouragement, my eloquent friend. I appreciate it so much. Despite all the junk going on, I'm still very much aware of how lucky I am to have my family here with me, safe and sound. Everything else is icing on the cake, right? I will definitely keep the offer in mind; who can resist the thought of becoming a Team Johanson minion? To have such a talented and creative person as yourself call me the same is quite humbling. Again, thank you from the bottom of my black little heart. *bowing deeply, with much affection and appreciation*
Thank you for the kind words. Seeing you're not on FB anymore, you wouldn't have seen today's post... I recently discovered my husband lied to me about our loan mod being approved. It looks like we will be losing both our rental and our own home of 16 years sometime over the summer. I probably won't be in the Halloween mood as a result, but I hope you post pictures of your party progress so that I may enjoy it vicariously through you. Sorry to be such a bummer.
Sure would be fun, especially since I live right "bayou" (Get it - "BY YOU", Haha!). If I'm not "swamped" (seriously, I crack myself up sometimes) helping Savannah's theater class with their Night Chills production, count me in. Keep me posted as we get closer, I'd love to by counted among your hoodoo zombie minions. Promise?
Well I hope you enjoy the group. Feel free to add to it and if you're ever looking for something in particular, let me know. I'm forever delving in recipes. Food is my friend. Again, it's nice to have you join.
Hey I don't know if anyone has mentioned this to you before but there's a social group on here for southern california haunters on here that might be of interest to you since you live somewhat in the area of meetings we have once a month. There's a link on my profile under groups called SoCal Inland Empire Haunt Group. You should check it out and see if you would be interested. It's a lot of fun!
