Hey! Thank you so much for the nice compliment on my sculpt. I just finished molding/casting it so hopefully this week I will be able to paint it. I have to say that your haunt has always been a favorite of mine and your columns are INCREDIBLE!!! :D

Thanks! Couple more questions...I'd love to add lightning and sync it with sound. I don't know where to begin though! Did you just get a lightning machine or did you order from Minions? Is it hard to do? And what lights did you use to wash down the front of your house? LED? I LOVE your Haunted Mansion theme yard haunt! I look forward to seeing what you do this year! Sorry for all the questions!

Sorry I don't have a tutorial on the coffin. The coffin itself has a plywood bottom and is made of 2" think foam. The mechanism to move the lid up and down is an air cylinder bolted to the floor of the coffin and I have a piece of aluminum bent in a "U" shape that is bolted to the top of the cylinder. Then I two bucky arms that are attached to the aluminum. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello I saw your coffin occupant on Youtube based on the Haunted Mansion and I was wondering how you made it?...have you posted a tutorial on it?

I really like your pictures! I love the webbing that is all over. Looks like it would be so much easier to manage than the web in a bag stuff.

I am working on a mud reaper (great walk through by the way). I am a bit stuck on how to fray the edges of the burlap. Did you just use a knife and cut strips into the fabric? Did you do it while it was hanging? I love how your looks so any help you can give me would be great!!

They are a material called beef netting. Its the same material they use at Knott's Berry Farm Halloween Haunt. It's really great stuff. It's already UV reactive straight out of the box. It's sold by a company called Trenton Mills. Good People. Here is their web page:

I think I bought a 10 lb box last year and it was a ton! This year I added webs all over my entire house including the second storie and I still maybe only used 1/4 of my box.

Hey, fantastic props!! Been lurking here for ideas for my office haunt we run each year for the kids. I saw your blog and was wondering about the webs you created from the 2007 haunt. they looked like square/rectagle sheets stretched. May I ask what type of Material you used for that effect? Thanks

Hey RBC...thanks for following up. My numbskull is great. Ran into a few hiccups but got everything figured out and its awesome! Gonna order my buckies next month then get ready to stain everything. Got any updates on that animatronic hand Joel was talking about a little while back?
