It's amazing all that you are doing for your pumpkins, Col. Kdestra, great score on the patio set...I'd have grabbed that up, too, in a heartbeat!!!

I live about 20 minutes from there! It's super awesome. There's actually houses here & there all thru Romeo that are done over the top. I make a point of going every year during the day so I can check out all the details. The local high school football team helps out during ToT, keeping an eye on things & helping with lost kids, etc because insane amounts of people go there. I looked at a house that was for sale a couple years ago - most of the houses on Tillson are cool old Victorian...

Managed to find an old car exhaust analyser for 5 I'm going to take it apart and change in onto some sort of ghost finding device fur the ToTs to play with. Then I found an old looking trinket box, ideal scene filler.

While my few neighbors have enjoyed my decorating for YEARS I'm still the only one. Live in a mostly ruralish area only a few houses on my little dead end road and the only one that has street viewable property. There has been a slight up tick on Christmas lights however... I'm thinking it's because it's more normal and more "city" folk have moved in to the area and built on their little 3 acre plots.

Our weather is, finally, warming up to outdoor planting temps!! Now that our lows are out of the danger zone...so far...and our highs are jumping up to 70's and 80's all of the sudden (why do we never have a nice, long Spring or Fall, anymore?? Just right up to 80's...sigh...), I went ahead and started planting my seedlings in ground, outside. Of course, no sooner do I do this and the weather says possible severe storms, tomorrow. Sigh, again. Here's to hoping everything doesn't get pummeled. ...

Industen replied to a thread Fog: Fog Distribution in Yard in Halloween Props
I use a 1 inch grid system with aqua blocks stationed around the yard as chillers. They are super easy to fill and keep the fog super low. I drill a few holes in the pipe here and there to allow some seepage. The main output is left alone. I have 4 blocks and a 1600watt fog machine, works great. I let my grass grow in the areas where the grid is going to hide the pipe. For those unfamiliar with aqua blocks they are typically used for water for weight to keep the edges of your pool cover down...

I am all over it in the UK. I've snagged so much either free or ridiculously cheap over the years I will check it through the day when I can. That's the best way to grab the bargains. The downside is, some people say you can have the items, then the next minute they've sold them onto someone else. That's the annoying bit.

VIDEO: https://youtu.be/fTJSfBQC-WI This a project I actually completed for Halloween 2017, but have been lax in finding the time to take some decent pics and shoot a video of it in action. I always loved the Grave-Digging Skeleton, but always wondered if I could re-engineer it in a new way and with a different motor. I figured that since the arms of the skeleton are already attached to the handle of the shovel, why not figure out some way to actually make the arms move the shovel back...

If you are wanting to float the candelabra like an FCG, it will work, just I would recommend using a very slow motor (3 or 4 RPM) for a subtle floating movement. And the crank for your motor will be very short, since the candelabra is not that wide. I would just experiment by mounting your motor and pulleys on the bottom of a flat board. Then try a short crank length and use that as a reference to judge what changes you need from there. In my mind, your idea would look pretty cool. Kind of...

If you want it real simple. Use a fish caster reel with fishing line(you will not see it). Attach a reversible motor relay to it. Run that motor off a 9v battery(no wires, easy to mount). This will provide the up down movement. Create a small platform and mount a second motor to the center. Attach the 9v motor to the end of the platform so it gets good circular rotation. Then attach that platform motor to the ceiling. You will need two voltage adjusters to slow down both movements since...

For sides at first I use rolls of black plastic purchased from the hardware department. It can be clipped using office clips/ binder clips to the bars/poles at the top. just fold over an edge and clip it to the bar. If you look close at the skull dot photo you can see the office clips at the top holding sheets to the bars. We get lots of rain with just enough wind to be a problem here in the PNW so in the end for the big carport tarp buildings we get from harbor freight to make the sides we...

Interesting. If I can get some of each to germinate and get to full size/bloom, it'll be cool to see the differences in the two and what they each attract in my area. I love sunflowers...they are gorgeous and always give me those first "Fall is coming" feelings in the Summer...plus, they give me seeds for the animals for the Winter!

I got my Sunflowers started, yesterday, in my greenhouse. I just kept forgetting to start them...grrrr. Oh well. They are both Giant varieties: the Mammoth Gray Stripes I usually plant and some new Russian Giant ones that a friend sent me some seeds of. We will see how they do as, last year, animals ripped all mine up and the one that made it was broken before it could bloom...sigh... It's getting closer and closer to time to start germinating my pumpkins, squash and cucumbers...counting...
