    Hi HalloCat,
Welcome to the forum! :) I just posted on the budget thread you started and well, um, called the person who started the thread a troublemaker. Then I went back to see who actually started the thread and you seem so sweet, I felt bad so I just wanted you to know my comment was all said in good fun. No disrespect intended.

Here's some tips to help stretch your budget. You can buy Halloween items year round. Stores like BuyCostumes, Halloween Asylum, Oriental Trading, even Spirit. Head straight to their sale/clearance section for good deals. Also, a lot of shops have great sales during holidays. I needed some bats for a vampire area this year, so on Memorial Day weekend I searched around online and found Grandin Road was offering a 25% off promotion with free shipping. Score!

Stock up on costumes, rats, bats, spiders, webbing, lighting (things a haunter always need) on the after Halloween sales to get them at a discount. Never pay full price for Mod Podge, always use a 50% Michael's coupon unless you can find it cheaper somewhere else.

During the season, print out store coupons and many online shops will offer an additional savings if you join their email list. You can always unsubscribe later if they started flooding your mailbox. I just bought some Halloween canvas prints from Pier 1 on sale for 20% off and got an additional 10% off by signing up for their email notifications.

Looking forward to reading your posts and don't forget to post pics. We loooove pictures around here! And if you haven't joined up for Secret Reaper this year you should, it's great fun!! :D
