We've done this since we started having our annual bash in 2004. Since our last move, we turned the Great Room into the hotel lobby/museum, we actually have Bloody Mary's Bar set up year round (I do add other stuff for halloween), the dining room is the dining room, the kitchen is the Choice Cuts Chop Shop, Guest bedrooms are witch's room & creepy nursery. My hall if full of pictures of all kinds year round, creepy & regular.

i have a love/hate relationship with AHS. i haven't seen every season but i've watched several with my wife, and i usually enjoy them while we're watching (some more than others) but when i look back at it after awhile, most of them i'm not sure why i liked them. i suppose that's a mark of a good storyteller, to be able to keep you interested in the moment regardless of how you feel about it long-term.

oh my lord yes. we've stressed for years to do all the cutesy halloweeen-related food, and nobody cares one little bit. they want stuff to eat and drink and they don't care if there's a cheese ball looks like a brain, or if the regular old red punch is called witch's brew or whatever. even the people who bring food or drink as part of the contest don't really go into any halloween theme, mostly. that doesn't mean it can't be fun to do some of that stuff, just that it's not worth stressing...

I actually have a mini stamp collection. It first started off with the lunar year stamps (the 12th stamp in the series was just issued this year!) but in collecting them, it led me to collect a few other “Halloween-ish” (or spooky/eerie, whatever ya wanna call it) that includes the following..... Classic Horror Monsters Alfred Hitchcock

I love ahs I did hear evan is sitting out of this one. My fav is the first season followed by coven and asylum my least favorite was freak show and hotel. I did love the first part of roanoke but the second half sucked. cult I thought was done very well it hit all of the sore subjects and really put in perspective of what people of capable of when push comes to shove. I loved the last season. And ryan murphy is suppose to be in with netflix to do a witchy type series on there.

Like this a lot. We're going to try for something similar. Going to use a Walgreen's skellie and corpse part of it, possibly replace the skull with a more realistic one, then cover it in a shroud of sorts. It will lay on top of the crypt like you've done. Hope to start construction of that by next month. I'll post some pics as we make a little more progress. We've had a "crew" for the past several years, and we typically average between 15-20 helpers to make things run smoothly. Our...

I have to be so picky. Kill all the humans you want, spread their entrails like so much homemade jam over the sets. Hurt a cat or a bat and I AM OUT. I get so angry I can't watch anymore. is such a help.

We've been working on props for our Druid Tomb theme haunt. I have 7 skull staffs in the works for some of our crew to carry, a few lanterns and soon we'll start on a crypt build which will be a focal point of one wall and a distraction for one of our main scares. My haunt partner (forum member lewlew) will be carving some foam Stonehenge-like obelisks and monoliths for the front display, as well as some interior catacombs. It should come together nicely. compared to last year, this build is...

Personally I love AHS, despite some of the seasons have been “iffy” so my answer is biased. Their first 3 seasons were great, my favorite being Asylum. I liked Freakshow, as well! My least favorite was Roanoke and Cult. I’m not sure I’d describe them as a crime mystery show though. Don’t get me wrong, there is definitely crime and mystery and all that, but it’s not your typical mystery crime show. You need to add elements of strange, bizarre, some bloody, some freaky. All the seasons are...

Looking for a few nice hooded monk/druid robes for this year's haunt. Can be brown or black, must have hoods. The Halloween stores sell a lot of cheap ones so those might work but something a bit heavier/nicer would also be considered. Let me know if you have anything you'd part with, how much you want for it and maybe a pic. We're likely looking at getting 6-7 of them. Thanks!

Thanks for posting that. I got the black and white one for my husband and it is his favorite sweater. He freaking LOVES the thing. I should get him a second one because he will likely wear this one out eventually. He wore it all winter. I want the rainbow monsters one but I never get cold enough to need a sweater. I go out in freezing temps in short sleeves so i just don't need one.

Just came across the first promo for the upcoming season of American Horror Story, titled American Horror Story: 1984. It will be themed after 80s slasher movies.

USPS has another series called The Art of Magic, and has a fortune teller one in the mix. I wish you could just purchase that one, because I’d definitely buy a few books of them!

I’m surprised the JOLs aren’t still available since they were already released. I mean they still have Christmas stamps in their online store! I wonder if they will even release them again since they have a new Halloween series coming out.
