I live about 20 minutes from there! It's super awesome. There's actually houses here & there all thru Romeo that are done over the top. I make a point of going every year during the day so I can check out all the details. The local high school football team helps out during ToT, keeping an eye on things & helping with lost kids, etc because insane amounts of people go there. I looked at a house that was for sale a couple years ago - most of the houses on Tillson are cool old Victorian...

The one I built was based on the design from Pandemic Haunt Productions. I changed some of the dimensions to suit my needs, but the basic idea and layout was there and that is what I used. Their website seems to be gone, not sure if they are still in business. If you want to pm me and I might be able to send you the plans. I did change things in the construction of it due to the fact that I didn't / don't like the idea of a bolt going through a hole in a square tube for a pivot. I used...

Here is one I built a few years ago. The only thing I can envision is the whole mechanism falling from the ceiling if not very securely mounted. If the movement is somewhat fast/violent you will have the whole thing moving around if not secured. https://youtu.be/XxEPs6mbq8U If you have any questions , PM me here.

If you don't have as many toothless children as The Skeleton Crew you can check out the auctions for example on ebay. Do a search for "acrylic resin dental teeth". Here's one link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Sets-84Pcs-Acrylic-Resin-Denture-Teeth-VITA-A1-Upper-Lower-Shade-Dental-Tool/232964271587 If you do not them the fast you can get them here for under $2 on AliExpress....

VIDEO: https://youtu.be/fTJSfBQC-WI This a project I actually completed for Halloween 2017, but have been lax in finding the time to take some decent pics and shoot a video of it in action. I always loved the Grave-Digging Skeleton, but always wondered if I could re-engineer it in a new way and with a different motor. I figured that since the arms of the skeleton are already attached to the handle of the shovel, why not figure out some way to actually make the arms move the shovel back...

If you are wanting to float the candelabra like an FCG, it will work, just I would recommend using a very slow motor (3 or 4 RPM) for a subtle floating movement. And the crank for your motor will be very short, since the candelabra is not that wide. I would just experiment by mounting your motor and pulleys on the bottom of a flat board. Then try a short crank length and use that as a reference to judge what changes you need from there. In my mind, your idea would look pretty cool. Kind of...

I've built many versions of an Animated Ouija board over the last ten years or so and they are not really that hard to build. Here's a link to a tutorial I made many years ago on how to build one. https://www.halloweenforum.com/tutorials-and-step-by-step/107554-animated-ouija-board-vent-motor-part-1-a.html I used to sell these boards on E-bay, so I'm guessing between all those I sold and the ones I made for friends I have probably built 50 to 60 of them. Still have a few...

He's talking about these: https://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G21146 I used one for a prop once, but I manually triggered it off and on with a remote control. Not the easiest way to do it, I'm sure.

I've been to the Mad Monster Party in Charlotte, NC a few times. A lot of fun, but I've been out of town the last couple of times it came. I saw the advertisement for this years, and it looked like they've REALLY cut down on the number of celebrities attending. Kind of a shame. But, have a good time if you go!

The video looks terrific! You're right, the random movement is a lot creepier than a constant motion would be. I like it !

    Hey there C X!

Just dropped by for a few minutes, wanted to say hi. Hope to make it back to play in games section soon, this sickness I came down with has really taken it's toll, haven't felt like doing much of anything. Anyhoo, just wanted to say hello, hope all is well.
