Last year, I put a lunging snake prop on the counter next to the soap by the bathroom sink. Scared the CRUD out of people all night long. I was so happy!

I am hosting a "funeral home" themed party this year and I typically decorate each room in the house as though it is part of a haunted house walk-through. I am hoping to convert the whole kitchen into a morgue/embalming room. It really would be cool to make the entire room flicker with a greenish/bluish light source. Is this something I can purchase? Or do I need to create the light source to cause the flickering? I am open to both options and would love to see an video tutorials if it is...

I haven't been on here in so long so I am catching up. Saki, that voodoo kit is awesome. I have been planning to add a voodoo section to my yard but just have never pulled it off. I have quite a few pieces of things but just haven't had the follow through. offmymeds I have some things for you.

I bought this last week for $5. The woman said that the sound was broken but could probably be fixed. She agreed to ship it to me and packed it up in lots of bubble wrap and sent it. Shipping was a little over $11 and well worth it. Sound does work, but I haven't done much more than pull it out the box and flip on the switch for a few seconds. I also scored a 6 ft. witch for $25. It was in a small town about an hour and a half from me. I have an ex student who lives there so I PayPal 'd her...

Stinkerbell those are awesome ideas. what do you attach the sides to? I would love to do something like this but don't have poles or anything to attach sides to. I just looked at your link and saw the canopies put together. Duh, I never thought of that either! Smacks my head. We have had so much rain the past few years, I really wish I could use my large screened porch in the back yard, but hubby is adamant about not having them in the back. He is afraid of lawsuits and I keep telling we...

Hey craftygirl. Just wanted to thank you for the friend request. Hope all is going well. Have you got your plans for this year yet? We've got a trip to Disneyland coming up early in the year so I'll likely put off any Halloween thinking until after that.

    WOW i LOve YOur HOUSE!!!
  7. I have been working like crazy for the last two years! It's so much better than in years past, I have really stepped things up. I have made almost every character from the movie and I can't wait to put everything out. Right now we have "stage one" up which is the spiral hill and moon, tombstones, Jack scarecrow, and pumpkins on a hay bale.
Next we'll get a few characters out and some more lighting done. I'll post more pics of that too!

I lurked for a LOOONG time before posting. Not a bad way to get going. I see you got your photos posted so you shouldn't have any trouble at all - that's probably the most confusing thing you'll run into here.

Your haunt looks fantastic. I'm excited to see you've added to it for this year. Sounds really cool - the kids must love it.

Hey Crafty girl! Just stumbled across your profile after your last comment. Welcome to the forums.

We like some of the same stuff (Star Wars, Disney, Doctor Who, drawing - I need to take up crocheting... )

Looking forward to seeing some photos of your NBC display - It sounds amazing. If you ever run into any issues uploading pics, just holler - it can be a little difficult at first.

Edit: just noticed you've been around for a bit. Glad to see you posting. (and great avatar).

I have loved Halloween ever since I can remember. I began decorating as a little kid with whatever decorations I could get my hands on or make.
Now that I'm a mom I love making my kids costumes for Halloween and cosplay. They are usually a big hit!
My Halloween display is Nightmare before Christmas, my husband and I have been working on it for 5 - 6 years now and its grown wildly of control!!
I'm proud to say I have now created over 50 characters!!
