If you don't have as many toothless children as The Skeleton Crew you can check out the auctions for example on ebay. Do a search for "acrylic resin dental teeth". Here's one link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Sets-84Pcs-Acrylic-Resin-Denture-Teeth-VITA-A1-Upper-Lower-Shade-Dental-Tool/232964271587 If you do not them the fast you can get them here for under $2 on AliExpress....

VIDEO: https://youtu.be/fTJSfBQC-WI This a project I actually completed for Halloween 2017, but have been lax in finding the time to take some decent pics and shoot a video of it in action. I always loved the Grave-Digging Skeleton, but always wondered if I could re-engineer it in a new way and with a different motor. I figured that since the arms of the skeleton are already attached to the handle of the shovel, why not figure out some way to actually make the arms move the shovel back...

If you are wanting to float the candelabra like an FCG, it will work, just I would recommend using a very slow motor (3 or 4 RPM) for a subtle floating movement. And the crank for your motor will be very short, since the candelabra is not that wide. I would just experiment by mounting your motor and pulleys on the bottom of a flat board. Then try a short crank length and use that as a reference to judge what changes you need from there. In my mind, your idea would look pretty cool. Kind of...

I've built many versions of an Animated Ouija board over the last ten years or so and they are not really that hard to build. Here's a link to a tutorial I made many years ago on how to build one. https://www.halloweenforum.com/tutorials-and-step-by-step/107554-animated-ouija-board-vent-motor-part-1-a.html I used to sell these boards on E-bay, so I'm guessing between all those I sold and the ones I made for friends I have probably built 50 to 60 of them. Still have a few...

He's talking about these: https://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G21146 I used one for a prop once, but I manually triggered it off and on with a remote control. Not the easiest way to do it, I'm sure.

No word on the job yet. Had an interview with someone else yesterday. These things move so slow though.

Congratulations on the Ouija Board find! That's amazing! I gotta start doing more garage sales.

Here's the link to DaveintheGrave's Ouija board tutorial. He's using a vent motor, but you can also use a reindeer motor I guess. https://www.halloweenforum.com/tutori...-part-1-a.html And if you do a search here for Ouija board, you'll likely find a few more takes on it based on the same design.

DaveintheGrave is great - I think he's actually "teaching" how to make some fancy flickering candles. (here's the link for that if your interested.)
    https://www.halloweenforum.com/hallow...ct-2013-a.html

And if you click on his profile and check his albums, he's got a couple more animated projects in there. Very friendly guy and quick to help too.
  3. Any job news yet?

I want to make the same prop! Not sure when though. I just got an Ouija Board at a yard sale for a dollar. I was so very excited! How do I find this DaveintheGrave fella?

Thanks for that link I might have to buy one of those!

I got the wax from http://www.nostalgicimpressions.com/default.asp I got them the other night in the mail and they are awesome.

Hey Chrisie! Stumbled across this thread today and thought it might be inspiring for your theme (you may have seen it already.)

Two costume would be awesome and stressful at the same time.

The invite looks great - that oughtta get people's attention!

Where did you order the wax sealing kit from? I always thought that would be an awesome idea.

Not working on anything just yet - I'm currently looking for a new job, and it's tough to justify spending the missus' money on Halloween at the moment. But I'm waiting to hear back on one interview that went well so hopefully soon.

I have the first project picked out, though. Gonna do an animated Ouija board for our skeletons to play with. DaveintheGrave has some awesome instructions on here that should make it easy.

BTW, a tip from someone who is on here way to much - if you click "View Conversation" at the top of this message before you reply, it'll thread the conversation, which is kinda handy, and it'll send me a notification. I forget to do it about half the time though.
  6. I’m lucky, I only have one friend that does a Halloween Party. Last year he did his the weekend after mine, so that met I got to get two costumes  hehehe

I just ordered our invites for this year.
    http://www.zazzle.com/scary_hallowee...12265471909363

I also just ordered a wax sealing kit with a skull and cross bones stamp to seal the envelopes. I’ll have to post some pics once everything comes in the mail.

Are you working on any projects right now?

We tried for a while but there were too many parties going on and we couldn't really compete. We're introverts 11 months of the year so it's kinda tough to get up to social-speed that quick. We do usually try to have a family-friendly open house each year, so people can just drop by on their way to other places. No huge theming this far though. We really kinda live for the yard and the Trick or Treaters.

I don't now if you can direct send pictures here. You can stick 'em in these kind of messages, but I think you need to stick them in an album first an then hist use the link to them.

BTW, thanks for the friend request! If you find I'm clogging up your activity feed feel free to shut me down. I can get kinda chatty.

Are you doing a themed party this year? The wedding party seems like a tough act to follow.
