I had heard that some of my pics made the rot. Another friend here on the forum told me. I was over the moon.
I'm not working on anything right now. In fact I am typically a last-minute sort of gal. I always have good intentions of starting early but then before I know it is the end of August and I've done nothing! lol
As a rule I never get started before the first of September. Then I'm A crazy woman trying to get everything done.
That's very exciting that you're going to see another haunt this Halloween. I'm jealous. But I'll bet your TOT's will be sad.

Hi ChefJuli, Unfortunately, we had to dismantle the giant witch hat. It was a labor of love and it was hard to take it down. The final Halloween pictures turned out pretty good with it, so I'm glad I still have those. Thank you for stopping by and for the comment. It was a pretty epic hat. :)

Good morning darling. I see you inquired about the making of StacyN's FANTASTIC headless horseman prop.
If you search her 'started threads' you will see a brief description included in her thread entitled 'My DIY Grandin Road Inspired Headless Horseman Figure.' (It wouldn't let me link here.)
    Isn't she da bomb diggity?!?!?!

THANK YOU my darling Juli. I can't create from scratch.. but I sure do LOVE to tinker!
I appreciate your kind words. :D

I would love to see a photo of how you used the large Home Goods skull in your display. It is a cool prop that has been on my mind since I saw it in the store.

Dearest, I linked the threads about the ghost in the mirror project on the photo.
Thank you so much for all your positive feedback. I am so honored. Truly. Thank you.

Thanks for the compliment on the pumpkin~it was a fun makeover! First, I attached fairly stiff wire to the existing stub of the stem. Then, wrapped twisted newspaper from bottom to top of stem. Over that, a layer of masking tape. Kind of squeezed the stem into the shape I wanted. Another layer of masking tape, making sure the tape had wrinkles. Did some masking tape around the eyes, nose & mouth. Here's the Great Stuff part: with gloves on, I squeezed a glob into my hand, then smeared from bottom to top, leaving uneven trails of GS. Make sure to get the stem too. Let dry about 10-15 mins, then pull some of the GS if you want 'drippings'. Let dry until next day, paint. Easy, peasy:D
