  1. Krampus on the Shelf

    General Halloween
Poor Krampus lost a few claws last year. I'm going to have to make him some new ones. If I can, I might also try and give him larger horns. Will post the New & Improved Krampus when he's ready to make his annual appearance.

How much better is it than plastic?
  4. Now that the dust has settled, how many hours did you put into your Halloween scene this year?

    General Halloween
Hmmm. Does shopping time count? With the foul weather, I really scaled back to lighting, window gags and stuff staged close to the house. I put up an EZ-up canopy - which is NOT EZ when you are a single haunter! Staked it down good since we had 50+ wind gusts. All totaled...
  5. Any restaurants with Halloween-themed food?

    General Halloween
I bet this diner might be able to scare up something. Angelo's Diner is about an hour SE away from me.
  6. Rain on Halloween?

    General Halloween
As of now, 100% chance of rain here in SW PA. I will concentrate on lighting, FCG, sound effects and window projections. I usually sit outside my front door to hand out treats. With the rain, I think I'll put up a EZ-up tent to give myself more dry space.
  7. November 1 I will be buying...

    General Halloween
Halloween themed lollipops, bloody vampire teeth, or any other long-lived treat bag fodder. Dollar Tree and Walmart usually have deep discounts. Not really needing anything, but will check out the decor/prop discounts as the happen. Last year, I picked up a delay fogger timer at Home Depot...
  8. Halloween Camping!

    General Halloween
Sounds like fun! Make sure to camp on or near the scene of some past gruesome tragedy - preferably somewhere with no cell phone service. Bring a vehicle with a dubious mechanical history and convince yourself that you totally don't need to replace that six year old car battery just yet. Don't...

  10. OK- Fess Up

    General Halloween
Do you mean Gordon's Food Service stores? I've seen them but have never set foot in one. Got my full sized candy bars at Costco - 30 for $14. Does Gordon offer better deals?
  11. OK- Fess Up

    General Halloween
Been working so much that I have had no time at all to make treat bags... or do much of anything! Oh, and I totally opened and ate those last two popcorn/chip bags last night to check on the freshness. Yeah... that's it - freshness! ;)
  12. OK- Fess Up

    General Halloween
Yeah, that's it... ;) technically doing the same. I get about 70-90 kids and also give away treat bags and toys in addition to full size candy bars. So lots of the 60 candy bars and 50 chip bags are always left-over
  13. OK- Fess Up

    General Halloween
How much of your Halloween candy have you eaten so far? In the past two weeks, I've scarfed down two chip bags, four full sized M&Ms bags and two Twix bars!
  14. How does everyone supply Scary Background sounds to their Haunts?

    General Halloween
My dad was an avid hunter and owned two of these babies! The speaker sound is incredible. When I play SFX with crunchy footsteps or breathy whispers, you'd SWEAR there is really someone right behind you.
  15. Who else uses generators??

    General Halloween
No gas gennies, but I do borrow three power inverters from my work-pack to power outlying low-load lights in my one-night-only TOT huge yard haunt. Anything beyond 100' is powered by the inverters.
