Freddie is already in there with Queen when they were inducted in 2001 so I think he could wait. His solo stuff was good but he only put out one real solo album, Mr. Bad Guy, & then his only other album outside of Queen was with Montserrat Caballe so technically he wasn't solo on that one. I've been a Queen for years now, even saw them live with Freddie in 1983, & even I don't see why he needs to go in solo when there's plenty of others that should be there instead. I'd love to see Boston,...

Sorry wickedwillingwench, I know what you're going through. My husband got what they kept calling a "good" cancer. Which used to just make me wanna slap 'em all because there's really no such thing. He had **bigwordsrecitedfrommemory** nodular sclerosing Hodgkins lymphoma, stage 2B about 12 years ago. He's fine now but going through chemo was awful. He didn't have to do radiation for reasons too long to go into here but it was a very long year going to Georgetown for chemo & then up to...

Just wanted to give a different perspective on the head movement for this build. Here is how mine looks using a second deer motor mounted sideways on the creep's back. The motor connects to a L shaped linkage that runs up into the neck. The bend of the L pivots in a small eye bolt on the top of the skeleton's spine. I opened up the holes that the jaw connects to the skull with so that it flops open very easily, giving some mouth opening and closing action. Mine only goes up and down, but it's...

I used to watch him on PBS in the 80s, long before it was a cool thing to do & just found him fascinating with his "happy little trees" & that huge Afro. I couldn't get over how he could create an entire landscape painting in 30 minutes real time (more or less). Oddly enough he was in the military & was the guy that had to be mean to the recruits & yelled at you all the time, a Sergeant in..wait....the Air Force. He painted in his off time & said when he got out of the service he wouldn't...

Still searching for all of these props. Just added three more props to the list as well: Zombie Cowboy (2007), Lifesize Grim Reaper (2008), and Frankencuted (Or Frank-N-Cuted, 2008).

Ours is the guy across the street, one house over. These people obviously used to or somehow imagine that they live way out in the country and conduct themselves as such. Dude parks his loud *** truck in the front yard across their sidewalk because the big driveway they have is reserved for cornhole and the multitude of appliances and other junk he accumulates hoping to strike it rich if the price of scrap metal ever comes up. He drives up his next door neighbors driveway, then cuts across...

Yep. Slower cranking motor that raises the lid a bit more to reveal treasure inside. Position a skeleton behind the chest with his hands on the lid. so when the lid opens and closes the skelly will look like he is doing it. I envision a pirate skeleton who is trying to get the chest open to steal some booty!

I don't want anyone to think I'm nitpicking or anything. You make your props however you want them to look. I'm a bit of a weirdo who thinks way too much into things to the point that it get a bit ridiculous sometimes. Who really thinks "now if I were a skeleton stirring a cauldron, how would I move my head" besides me? The kids really don't care and won't notice how it moves, only that it does and that's what matters.

I have a question for you guys that use this type of head movement rig. Why are they almost always made so that the head turns when it goes down and straightens when it's up? If I were stirring a cauldron and leaned over to look into it I wouldn't turn my head away. Just seems to me (being picky) that the animation would look better reversed with the head looking down into the cauldron when it's down then turn to look at visitors when it's up. Just an observation and again, just me being picky...

I found a small crate at work and decided to take a whack at the classic Monster In A Box prop. My version is made to look like an old box that might have been around for many, many years. I used a green light instead of the traditional red just to be different. The monster is an old dollar store vampire mask I did a little reshaping and repainting to so that it looked a bit more creepy and a bit less human. I used a little Bluetooth speaker I also found for free to make an ambient soundtrack...

Closer to Halloween you might find seasonal Ziploc type bags too. Clear on one side, Halloween stuff on the other but clear. OT will also have sales all year & closer to the big day they will have more to choose from. I generally get all my bags from them, from larger ones to 3" paper sacks with googly eyes.

It's finally warm & sunny enough to leave my seedlings out all night & day. I had to bring them in during yesterdays thunderstorm downpours but other than that I'm not dragging them in every night anymore.

This is kind of surprising since they just bought Aetna. I'm amazed they aren't turning those stores into walk-in clinics or something more health related. I LOVE my regular CVS pharmacy & the store in general but they barely do Halloween outside of a few bits of decor & a metric ton of candy. Mine is still in it's original spot, it's not large like newer ones & there's no drive-thru. I know that many in my area have updated the store with drive-thrus, better lighting, better selection,...

We have a friend who has bought many things on FB Marketplace & swears by it. I do think that as with Craigslist you should always be careful & I think it depends on your area as what you are going to get on any given day, but so far he's been fine & the people actually seem to post the real situation with what they're selling. On Sunday we picked up an old hand crank coffee grinder for him since it was close to our house. The people posted it as "being found in our barn" & it was as...

It is a great pleasure isn't it? Especially this time of year. Right after I posted that pic I accidentally dumped that container on the floor (dropped an apple next to it). When I picked it back up I found one more sprouting!:D When it happened I thought "Ohshiiiiii...." then quickly grabbed it up, saw the 2 babies were still there but that the bit of dirt that was lost had unearthed another one. I was very glad it rained today. That's the only reason I didn't lose those 4 little...
