Hey! I was inspired by a steampunk website on how to make my "gas light" Here is a tutorial on how he did it!

The bulbs are strip bulbs that I had to order from the UK.. Shipping was ridiculous, but I loved the look of the bulbs. We don't have anything like that in the US. They are made to run at 220v, so they run at half power here. The bulbs are Crompton double ended tubular bulbs.

Get the clear ones! It took me awhile to find someone that would ship to the US. I used
www.choiceful.com, but I can't find the bulbs on their site anymore.. The lamp is in my room year round (as most of my Halloween stuff) but it is a favorite of mine :) One suggestion.. I used rigid copper pipe on mine and rented a pipe bender and tried all sorts of stuff to get the copper to curve nice, but it kept binding! I filled it with sand and used a torch to try and heat it up so it would curve nice, but save yourself the headache and get the copper tubing in a roll.. it bends a lot nicer and easier :) Nothing about the project was cheap! The darn brass fittings are like $7 a pop! GL!
