You are too sweet!
I found the cloche top at Marshalls a few years back. So I am not sure what to suggest about that.
For the base. I found a wood 'clock face' at Michaels. I liked the angle of the beveled edges. Then I glued/screwed another round piece of wood that the cloche would SNUGLY sit down on top of. I painted them a dark cranberry color, and then did a wipe-off dark antique stain on it.
I looked around for a single rose that I liked the looks of. Believe it or not, I found this one at Walmart. Drilled a smallish hole in middle of wood base, and stuck/glued the rose stem in. Plucked a few petals and hot glued them on the base as if they had fallen. I tried to give it a slight 'wilting' pose (if that makes sense). haha
I'm very glad that you liked your magical reap. Your fun list made it an absolute pleasure to gather or make things for you! I know you'll do a top-notch job of displaying everything. You have so much talent for it!
Yes - getting ready. I have 2 more big project. But can't start till august or september -take us too much room in the garage. I know I love the thrifting- and lately garage sales. Sometimes so much cheaper. I have noticed that places like goodwill are so overcharging for stuff that was donated free.
Hello Hello Hello!!!!
Oh thank you SO MUCH for thinking of me. I'm def still looking for those. I appreciate the link.
I'm getting all excited and working on a bunch of stuff. How about you?
I am so thankful for you joining in the shrunken head activity. He is amazing. I bet he's glad he got hair plugs! LOL
I don't have a Craft Warehouse , in fact I've never heard of it but it sounds like something i would love lol. I'm going to look it up online and see what I'm missing out on. However, I did find some glass chunks here a few months ago during a reaper. I live near Pigeon Forge TN and we have this touristy places that are "gem mines" , they do have real gems, stones, minerals but they also sell various sizes of fenton glass chunks in a lot of colors. I got my victim and myself a few chunks and I plan on going back. Thanks for thinking of me! I love it when we all try to help each other out.
So how flipping BEAUTIFUL is that croc!?!?! Thank you!!!!
Perhaps I could put that on my list for next year. Wowza. That would be a great addition. In the tub! hahaha
I see I have his paper mache bat already pinned. Fella does fabulous work! Thank you for thinking of me.
Hi ... I was admiring your lovely book of shadows pages and was wondering if you could tell me where you found the great herb graphics. I'm always looking for great graphics. Thanks and have a wonderful day. Lisa
Thanks, that's sweet of you to say! I love mushrooms (some only to look at!), and it was fun putting it together. The single-item reap is really a lot of fun, and challenging. I enjoy that, and love seeing what everybody comes up with.
Your shrunken head is absolutely wonderful, by the way! He is so full of personality!
I'm enjoying that thread a lot, too, even though I haven't started my own shrunken head yet. I need some oil-based clay, but the nearest craft store is quite far away (35-40 miles) and I usually wait until I need several things before I go there (The town has Trader Joe's, Home Depot, and TJ Maxx, so there should be some reason to go soon!) In the mean time, it's a blast watching all the creative talents in their individual styles.
