    Default Favorite Depiction of Satan

The Devil.has been portrayed by numerous actors over the decades, but, for my money, Robert DeNiro in "Angel Heart" is the king. His demeanor, make-up (check out the fingernails) mannerisms...he nailed it.
Gotta give credit to the writers - Satan was represented by the Legal team of Gravenstein & Winesap; 2 varieties of apples... His best line - when Mickey Rourke mocked the name he was using, "Louis CePhyr"; DeNiro shot back, "well, 'Mephistopholese' is such a mouthful in Manhattan..." Love it.

You younger members here should have a look.

Peter Stormare at the end of Constantine. The sinister presence he portrays while at the same time being so gleeful about claiming that one soul he wants so bad. The teasing with the cigarette. The constant mocking. The touching his tongue to Constantine's face. Perfection.

I'm gonna go with a ridiculous over the top, stereotypical depiction of Satan in Legend done by the great Tim Curry.

    Here's a couple of lists:

I'd totally forgotten about Walter Huston! John Huston's father, & if you don't know who John Hustons is, well, he directed Treasure of the Sierra Madre, African Queen, The Maltese Falcon, and Annie (yes THAT Annie) to name just a few.

He served in WWI & made a great documentary about the men that came back "shell shocked" as they called it back then. The Army wouldn't release it back then & it didn't get released until 1980.

OK I'll stop movie nerding, just wanted to mention Walter Houston's performance, sorry, carry on!!
