I am binge watching it right now...... I am really into it. I have not liked the last 2 seasons very much
just watched episode 3. i enjoyed it. i was...something less than thrilled by the ending, for reasons i can't much get into without big spoilers, but it does have me looking forward to where they go from here.
I actually said "OHMYGAWDYAAAAAASSSSSQUEEEEN!!" out loud at the ending of Ep. 3!!
I have NEVER said that ever anywhere, not online, not IRL, not ever, but when I saw the ending of that episode, well, it seemed very appropriate!!
Interesting episode. I gotta say I'm enjoying the witches again but especially Myrtle. I'm also loving seeing Kathy Bates glammed up. Usually she's all matronly or as Jessica Lange said "Aunt Pittypat" or worse, I hope she enjoyed putting on some lipstick & getting a new 'do for a change.
Oh how I've missed those witches! And that ending...just FAB!!
It looks like next week we get Jessica Lange & the Murder House again!!
i haven't seen last night's episode yet, but i fear they're flirting with going a little gimmicky this season. if "apocalypse" were intended to be the last season, i think the approach makes sense, but if they go through an end-of-the-world scenario, and tie in tons of stuff from previous seasons, just so that in a few months they can be like, "forget all that from last season, watch season 9 now! it's all about...um...spiders, or something!", it feels a little contrived.
i also think that the anthology setup becomes problematic when you decide to work in previous angles. viewing each season in a vacuum, i can buy that sarah paulson is one character this season, a different character another season, and so on. but when you kill off season 8's sarah paulson, and then 2 minutes later, sarah paulson walks back in as a completely different character, it strains the suspension of disbelief a bit.
oh well. i gripe, but i'll keep watching.
Watched all episodes, this was our least favorite of ANY seasons. I won't post any spoilers in case some have not watched or plan to watch later.
I thought Season 7 (even with all its political crap) was a better story.
I can't believe how absurdly predictable the finale was (except for the last 10 minutes). I have watched all the seasons even though I KNOW I'm going to be disappointed in the wrap up! Ryan Murphy is predictable in his inability to write a satisfactory ending. This season I feel takes the cake for loose ends and general WTFness.
I loved this season. 👻👿💀😈👻
