It is indeed creepy. I remember years ago the E! network had a documentary on it as part of their True Hollywood Story series.

    Agreed! hah hah.

Good thread though! I always ask people if they know of a sequel that's better than the original...just like in Scream 2 when they discuss it in their class. hahaha

It's half and half for me. A lot of the times I like the original the best and other times like the sequel better. Phantasm II, Evil Dead II and Aliens IMO are definitely better than the originals.

I have seen almost none of these listed movies. I have only seen "Number 2's" of Poltergeist and Predator.
Why have I not seen more movies?
For these past twenty seven years I have done almost all of the work here at The Ravens Grin Inn, working mostly during the day. For those 27 years I have been open for business here almost EVERY NIGHT (Yes, I have)
So, so many times about half way through their tour of the house someone will say to me:"You have too much fun here!"
I realized years ago that I must be some kind of a simpleton... because I Never get tired of doing this!
I hear plenty of real ghost stories from my patrons, and I have lived through some very strange things too during the passed twenty seven years here.

You're no simpleton for still loving what you do, you're lucky. I think it's cool when people are so passionate about what they do.

Another comparison for this thread could be American remakes versus the originals. I prefer Ringu and Ju-On to The Ring and The Grudge, though I like all those movies. I saw my first horror movie from India a while ago and read that it's going to get an American remake. I just hope they leave out the musical numbers. Yes. Musical numbers
Let's have a Black Celebration tonight.

That's a first, Horror Musicals? Well, maybe not totally with stuff like Rocky Horror.

I generally prefer the original in a series, with Aliens being the exception to the rule. That movie was just fantastic.

    Aliens is indeed amazing.

Hard to believe I started this a whole year ago, how time flies

The new Paranormal Activity was okay but the series has clearly run it's course. I think the first is probably still the best but part 2 is close behind it.
