    Default Paper mache mask

    Hi there!
This is my first paper mache, and my first mask. I know there were a lot of question about this topic, but i didnt find my answer. So im making a paper mache mask, the base was my face. I made 2 layers around, then got it off,it dried. But i found out that on some place it isnt perfect,i want put 1-2 layers on them more. Question is: will the mold melt? I made with flour, and i would be patient with it,but if the mask would melk away,i wouldnt be happy,it already pretty nice, just need a little help. Or anybody has better idea, how to do it?

Are you saying you actually put 2 layers of mache directly on your face? Maybe I'm just reading wrong. Additional layers of mache shouldn't hurt anything. Did you add white glue to the mache mix. It is usually recommended. Post some oictures if you have time. Have you watched any Youtube vids on mache? There are some very creative people posting videos on the medium.

Check out gourmet paper mache on YouTube. The artist has great video on it and published several books on his techniques.
