Default Halloween TV & Movies 2019

Just came across the first promo for the upcoming season of American Horror Story, titled American Horror Story: 1984.

It will be themed after 80s slasher movies.

Looks cool. Never have seen any of the AHS, but I want to see the one with Twisty the Clown. Are they any good? Some say they're too "crime mystery" type shows?

Personally I love AHS, despite some of the seasons have been “iffy” so my answer is biased. Their first 3 seasons were great, my favorite being Asylum. I liked Freakshow, as well! My least favorite was Roanoke and Cult.

I’m not sure I’d describe them as a crime mystery show though. Don’t get me wrong, there is definitely crime and mystery and all that, but it’s not your typical mystery crime show. You need to add elements of strange, bizarre, some bloody, some freaky. All the seasons are different, but have the same vibe. Hard to explain if you’ve never watched it. But the cool thing is you don’t have to start from the beginning since it’s an anthology series.

I have to be so picky. Kill all the humans you want, spread their entrails like so much homemade jam over the sets.

Hurt a cat or a bat and I AM OUT. I get so angry I can't watch anymore.

I love ahs I did hear evan is sitting out of this one.
My fav is the first season followed by coven and asylum
my least favorite was freak show and hotel.
I did love the first part of roanoke but the second half sucked.
cult I thought was done very well it hit all of the sore subjects and really put in perspective of what people of capable of when push comes to shove.
    I loved the last season.
And ryan murphy is suppose to be in with netflix to do a witchy type series on there.

i have a love/hate relationship with AHS. i haven't seen every season but i've watched several with my wife, and i usually enjoy them while we're watching (some more than others) but when i look back at it after awhile, most of them i'm not sure why i liked them. i suppose that's a mark of a good storyteller, to be able to keep you interested in the moment regardless of how you feel about it long-term.

In my opinion, every season has the same problem - a great setup for a great story that about halfway through the season devolves into a confusing mess. That being said, I have watched every season and will be watching 1984 (and fuming about it).

Its the ending of most that leave me like wtf...But I still think they are awesome and totally out of the box as far as shows goes. And I do go back and rewatch to get more of a love/hate relationship with them. Not sure how i will like them if Evan isnt in them..he is a constient and I like that.
