I can't wait to see your finished hearse Myra! I don't think the coffin on top of the hearse would be a good look unless it's a big pile of them, like one inside, and a couple on top.
I think people will know The Munsters theme. Some of the younger folks may equate it with Fall Out Boy's song "Uma Thurman" but I still think it's recognizable & it's still shown on many stations just like the Addams Family.
As for telling the wife, well, to quote the great lady Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper "it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to get permission."
I also don't think it's just a wife thing as much as it's a "significant other/family member that isn't as into Halloween as you are" thing. Thank ALL the gods for their patience & love.
Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, the best damn little band you should be listening to!

I’m eyeing up our old vinyl arbor which we are going to retire, with designs on turning it into a new entry way for my Halloween cemetery.
As a military family in wayyyyy upstate, rural NY, Halloween festivities were limited the past few years. Next year we are moving to central FL and I am so stoked to have proper October excursions again without everyone wearing a parka over their costumes. I am taking the off-season to plan Halloween adventure days over decorating. Obviously the Disney and Universal attractions are on my list but, anyone have good suggestions for lesser corporate adventures in the Orlando-ish area?
We've been there during the Halloween season, and if you love Haunted Houses and jump scares, it's kind of fun. They even had incredible thunderstorms that were real when we visited. But that said, we live for kids gawking at our yard way more than looking at what corporations with budgets that dwarf ours are doing to reel in the visitors. For us Halloween has become less about being tricked, and more about handing out the treats.
The only Halloween things I'm doing at the moment are retrofitting some of the new props for last year, things that didn't quite work, I'm getting them fixed so they'll be better this year.
I've been collecting some new records as of lately. Buying some new albums and checking out some horror soundtracks worth getting on vinyl. I'm thinking about buying the Super Dark Times score on vinyl. It's not a horror movie, it's more of a thriller. I enjoyed the music. Ben Frost always has interesting music scores!
