Hello, I am new here and found the site with a Google search.
I love it. Everyone seems so nice and into the season.
I was wondering does anyone know where I can find these Gemmy items, new?

Thank you kindly.

Since all of those are discontinued, your only option is through the resale arena. eBay, resale shops (like Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc), Amazon.com, garage sales, and some people have had luck on Craig's List. I'd also keep doing a Google search in case some old inventory got bought out and someone is selling it.
Last year we could have told you to look for some of the spirit balls (what the globe/crystal balls were called) at ROSS DRESS FOR LESS (who had some of the life-size heads) and at SPIRIT HALLOWEEN. In fact if you have a Spirit Halloween store near you I'd suggest going and talking to the manager there and see if he might be able to check and see if they have any old inventory he can get his hands on for you. My SH manager has been very helpful in that way for me and found me two items this year that were no longer current items. As for ROSS there's still a chance they might have left over inventory in which case it would get put out on the shelves sometime soon. Keep checking the General Halloween area under "2010 Store Sightings" and also "what did you find/buy today" because if the spirit balls make another appearance it's most likely they will get mentioned in one of those two areas.
The Talking Boris skulls will be much harder to find. I bought two off of eBay 2 years ago and started looking months before halloween.
Of course now that you've posted here someone may have one of those items they'd be willing to part with so you might get lucky that way too. There's also a "Wanted To Buy" area that maybe one of the monitors will direct this to. Good luck in any event.

Careful with ebay for those heads in the globe props. They try and get upwards of 80 bucks for them- especially the big ones. Criminal. Every so often you'll see a good seller put one up for what it's worth- 40 bucks. It's just not worth anything more than that. I have the large one with a witches head and it's ok. It's worked every year without fail. But I never liked it much. I'm just stuck with it because it was a gift. Good luck with anything out of date. Ebay sellers consider that prime for huge price hikes.

I found the skull one I wanted brand new and cheap, but Ebay messed up my bid and I lost by 49 cents because Ebay did not register it right.

The seller has no more.
Here is a YouTube video of the Skull one I like:

Dan, while some sellers set the price high, most will start an initial bidding price low enough to attact attention. It's the people who want the item at what ever cost that ultimately jack it up. And submitting a bid larger than you are willing to pay can get one in trouble if you end up winning and someone else wants it really badly. Really anything that isn't being made or sold any longer makes the item more scarce to the general buying public. Sometimes you are better off looking for merchandise off-season so to speak.
Frightscare, make sure you understand eBays bidding increments. It's all automated and follows the established rules. I lost out once by a small amount and didn't think it should have gone down that way but later realized I hadn't met the bidding increase amount and so someone else got it. It was one of those automated bidding scenarios where you've put in a max bid and someone else puts in their max bid and the bids battle it out. It can get tricky.
