does anyone know a company that sells the sound box that came with the gemmy inflatable hearse where the hearse looked like
a REAL old hearse, there's a casket inside the hearse with a
zombie in it. The sound box I'm looking for duplicated the sound of
a horse, the hearse rolling and a voice saying "you're next" I HAD one with the sound box and last January I lost everything in a house fire and I'm trying to replace nine years of decorations
a piece at a time. I TRIED contacting "wonderful" gemmy
and they were NO help, seems they NOT only don't carry
older items like that hearse(in case I wanted to buy a FULL
replacement from them) but they ALSO don't sell replacement parts if I found a used one that was missing parts(something
I ACTUALLY did, there's one on ebay RIGHT now but it's missing
the sound box). According to Gemmy, they DON'T sell retail
so even though they DO have the box, they won't sell me one,
they CLAIM they don't have replacement parts(not sure what that
means if you go buy one of their items and it's missing parts, guess you just return it to the store and HOPE you can exchange
it), I also noticed on their website under frequent asked questions
this question was asked" my gemmy inflatable has stopped working, the fan has gone out, how do I get a replacement fan and fix it?" this was the response they posted"Unfortunately Gemmy Industries does not sell replacement motors for our inflatable products. However, motors can be purchased at www.holidayinflatablestore.com. Although we cannot provide any support to assist you in the process, we understand that collectors of the product have been able to take care of their replacement needs by purchasing older, inexpensive units from E-bay and then transferring the parts to the newer model." they
DON'T sell the replacement motors OR offer any support on
how to replace the motor IF you find a replacement. I USE
to trust Gemmy and had ALOT of their products but now
that I'm trying to replace older items and things that in
MY opinion, SHOULD NOT be THAT hard to find(I EVEN had
to go to an OUTSIDE company to find fog machine timers
since Gemmy has decided evidently NOT to sell them separately
and WON'T sell to the public directly), I'm beginning to wonder
if Gemmy is a company I REALLY want to give my money to,
they sure don't act like they appreciate us.
