I need two gear motors that do 30ish rpm, they need to have enough torque to lift about 3#free weight, each.

I can use a very small gearmotor with 30 rpm to raise 3 lbs. The question is how fast and how far do you want to raise that 3 lbs?

IE a 30 rpm motor rotates at a rate of one revolution every 2 seconds. If I put a 1 inch round pulley on the output shaft and attach a cable or wire, I will move approx 1.5 inches every second whatever is attached to the other end of the cable. Likely the smallest gearmotor you might come across could lift your 3 lbs.

But 1.5 inches per second? Not much movement. So as you increase the size of your pulley, you will move your object further and or faster for a given amount of time. You will also need to provide for the added load.

So think about the distance and timeframe you want that distance to be covered and work from there.

Any wiper motor you can find will easily handle this load. The amount of load that a rubber windshield wiper produces as it traverses the windshield would surprise you.

    My catalog. Page 107

Item 2L010 or 2L011 Either should handle your load. A bit pricey though.

    Check surplus sites.

I have used this motor for FCG, Grave Peepers & other animation. They have great torque, one of my peepers got hung up and the motor snapped the metal arm and kept going.
