Thread: Sewage/Fishing gloves and leather apron?

So, recently I began working on a Genetic Repo Man uniform, and I've got most of it completed except for the gloves and apron.
I've been hoping to find some black rubber shoulder-length sewage/fishing gloves, but have had little luck. And the ones I did find were rather expensive.
Not only this, of course, but I'm also looking for a very shiny black apron of some kind. Preferably vynl maybe, or some sort of similar material. I've thought about just making one from garbage bags, which is what I did for the helmet, but it wouldn't last very long.

So.. Any suggestions? Preferably ones that are under about $25?

And, guess I'll just throw it in. Here's a video effect test I did recently to demonstrate how it looks in different lighting. It may also give a good example as to what I'm looking for. Maybe.

Also, if I get a few requests, I'll post a tutorial on the helmet. It's very makeshift, so pretty much anyone can do it.

Gah! I threw away a pair of black shoulder-length gloves in mid-September because they were old and not reliable for their original purpose. They would have been great for a costume, now that you mention it.

I may - emphasize may - still have a pair in orange. If you'd like me to look, let me know. If I still have them, I know approximately where they are buried but it will take moving a lot of stuff to get to them. They are... very very orange.

The colour won't be a problem. Do you happen to remember how big they are?
And, in any case, how much would you want for them?

I found a pair of orange rubber gloves, elbow length & very textured, in the original (and rather cool - lots of Asian characters and almost no English) packaging. $5 + shipping.
