I know it's after the fact, but MAKE ur own cannons... I used an 8' long, 4" black PVC pipe cut in two, a 2'x 1" copper pipe for the pivot bar, 4" PVC plug at the bottom, four 8 foot 2"x4"s, one 2'x4', 5/8" to 3/4" redi-plywood for carriage floor.
Drill a 1" hole across each 4" tube abt 2 & 1/2 feet from the end for the cross piece, insert & center copper pipe in 4" pipe, drive a long drywall screw thru the 4" pipe to secure the copper pipe. Wrap the 'business end' with several rolls of electrical tape for the 'strength' rings (see pix). Spray it all flat black. Cut several graduated lengths of 2x4 for the carraige, Nail 2' piece along sides of 2'x2' plywood, nailing each piece to the lower piece working toward the top. Screw casters on the bottom.. Costs.. $9 for the 4" PVC, $12 for the 2x4's, $6 for copper pipe, $2 for PVC plug, $12 for casters, $6 for elec tape(several rolls).
The first pix is it rough, the second, the carriage was stained.
Id be willing to sell my cannon if youre still interested. Heres some picts http://s185.photobucket.com/albums/x...t=HPIM7026.jpg
and http://s185.photobucket.com/albums/x...t=HPIM7040.jpg. It looks much better in person, and its rigged up with a 85w red flood in the back that I was planning on tying to an air cannon and fog chanber, running it all off of VSA. I have the air cannon built for the most part (planning on adding a larger tank) and the fog chamber was dependent on the air cannon, so that didnt get finished. Its basically a cannon with a light, and an inlet in the bottom of the barrel where the stand hides it for fog and etc... PM me if your interested.

Your cannon looks great, only thing I'd add would be a "T" section at the base with a screw-on washout cap and convert it into a carbon carbide cannon. When fired you get an awesome, deep, and VERY LOUD, bang. The carbide is sold as a product called "Bangsite" and is relatively cheap. ($8.50 per tube) It's safe and no projectiles leave the barrel. Only other item needed is water and you're good to go.
Another thing I would do is get a gallon of black exterior latex paint and a bag of sand box sand, or masonry sand, and mix with the paint. Once you paint the PVC with this mixture it gives the look of cast iron.
Hope it helps for what it's worth...

Thanks for the kudos on the cannons, my first project of it's kind.. Carbon carbide cannon? Very Loud? Errrrr, would my neighbors like it I've been using the cannon sounds from the Pirates ride soundtrack, tho I'm working on the plans/plumbing for the washer valve air cannon guts.. Harbor Freight Tools has a 21gal. compressor for $149, provides 80-130psi and would be perfect for powering the cannons, both the roll-around and the six on the sides of the ship. About as loud as the cannons on the Disney ride, but loud enuff I guess..
I didnt think of sand/paint to texture it, but yeah, that sounds like a great idea.
You can actually control the concussion of the bang...but I live in the country so it aint that big of a deal here.
Last 4th of the July we had people coming over to see what the big bang was and where it was coming from, then the party started and the bangs just kept getting bigger and louder.
The sand/paint mixture works great and adds that special touch or realism.
