Ebay is good---search on terms like Beistle, vintage Halloween and so on. The true vintage goodies can be costly, but with a little luck you can sometimes grab these things for a reasonable price. The prices usually go WAY up around Halloween time, so the early bird gets the worm a little cheaper...

also check any local flea markets. You can grab some wonderful finds there.

http://www.vintagehalloween.com/ is a good site.
Like previously stated, just do a little searching on Google. You might come across some obscure site that has some really good stuff.

If you're looking for vintage-style decorations (rather than actual old pieces) you might also want to search out Bethany Lowe. If you want genuinely old pieces, hit up the antique stores and estate sales, but watch out for repros and prepare for sticker shock.
You probably will also want to post in the Wanted section of this forum and hang around the What Did You Find/Buy Today? and I Love a Good Yard Sale/Thrift Store threads. I think it's fair to say most of the serious yard salers here keep their old goodies, but there are a few who sell their finds to finance their haunts - and are often willing to let them go for well under eBay prices when they know they're going to a fellow HF member who will really enjoy them.

I'm not sure where in New England you are located. But...my husband and I try to go to the Headless Horseman haunt every year in upstate NY. They have little shops on the premises and they have a ton of vintage Halloween decor! We picked up quite a few peices last year for a reasonable price.

Traditions (my personal fave) has already been mentioned upthread- they are really well stocked with a wide variety of items- can be pricey there or reasonable, just depends.
Moon Hollow has nice stuff & they're real nice folks to deal with:
