I wanted to figure out a way to have red water come out of the toliet every time it was flushed at the party, but probably won't have time this year. Tryed to come up with something as a replacement
The bathroom is now a morgue....complete with all the fixings of a morgue.

Wanted to gore up the toliet a bit.
This weekend, I melted in a pan some hot glue, taped out a 20" piece of cellophane wrap to a piece of cardboard, and basically poured the hot glue out
in a line on the board. While doing so, I tipped the board slightly up, and the glue naturally "dripped" I did this for about 15 or so inches.

Once the glue hardened, I sprayed it with a glossy deep red spray paint. Let it dry, and peeled it off.

It's an awesome effect, easy to make, inexpensive! I then wrapped it up under the toliet tank lid so that it looks like blood is overspilling from the lid....my neighbor saw it and loved it!

I also made a choker necklace this way.
Taped down the cellophane and a thin piece of ribbon *long enough to go around my neck and be able to tie it. Poured the glue a bit thinner, and tipped the board....looks awesome on. My friend made "stitches" for around her neck the same way, just hand "painting" the glue over the ribbon in a stich type look.

Here is what we did last year.
Thought I could just drain a tidybowl dispencer and fill it with red dye.

It did not make the water dark enough.
I took the lid off the tidybowl container, rolled up some paper towel and used it as a wick to let the dye out of th bottle. It worked well all nighr long.

Had to bleach only 1 of our 3 toilets to get rid of the red stain... think it was an older toilet as this house was built in the 50s.

by the way, the dye is pool dye we picked up at a pool supply store.

2011 will be our 8th year and After having several outrageous Halloween Parties, we know that we will never get an invite to anyone else's party. So we keep throwing our own!
