. . . HEARSE!
Hallow HR Fiends and Family!
This will be my first official prop building tutorial. My hubby and I have been putting together our own version of a Hearse - and as some of you may know - we are using the tried and true building approach known as "The Fly By The Seat Of Your Pants" Method! I will post just a few pics here and invite you to my profile page where you can check out the albums of pics and progress.
We are nearly done - and are at the "attache wheels and paint" stage. So before we paint over everything - it seems that the time is right to share our step-by-step progress.
Besides being made of salvaged, on-sale and super cheap parts, the beauty of our hearse - we hope - its that it can be TOTALLY DISMANTLED for easy storage! At least that is the plan.It is a slightly smaller scale than the big wagon versions we have drooled over in the past - but that is a bonus for us. It will be much more proportional to our Halloween graveyard set-up. I am hoping that it will ultimately be stable and strong enough to provide a cute Kodak site for parents who want to photograph their little ones in the driver seat!
In any case - hope you enjoy the pics and can follow the progress. The photos download backwards ( help Larry -- I am still a photo newbie) - so start at the end of each related album to see things in relative sequence. . . BOO!

Horse Drawn Funeral Carriage? –

Impressive! Is this a full size Funeral Carriage mean to be "driven" as an early automobile or by horse? It looks like you're also incorporating some recycled elements- very nice. Do you have any direction you're thinking of going for the carriage wheels? Keep posting pics of progress!

Hallow Raven! It is meant to be a slightly smaller scale version of a horse -drawn carriage style hearse. And boy did we ever use recycled stuff!! Visit my profile on this Forum and you can see the albums I created to show more detail. Each photo has some descriptive info that may be of help. Wheels go on next weekend, if the weather is kind. . . Stay tuned!

Of course "WE!"
In every good project - there must be some brains behind the builder, right?
( I took mine out of the jar just in time to help plan the hearse!
)
OK OK - I guess I streeeeetch the meaning of "we" a bit... a teensy weensy bit. LOL
Besides, somebody has to take all those pictures!
Keep in mind - MysterE is not the one sending out Skyline surprises...
