bad storm blew down a 14 foot branch out of a tree into my yard.. As I grabbed the chainsaw to cut it to firewood, my mind said wait thats a scare crow.
so I went to work
what i had at hand,,, tree branch, hose hit by the mower, tomato cage wire, and plastic pumpkin, and a dark blue tablecoth
I cut the V section and screwed them together to make the shoulders.
bent tomato cages to the shape of ribs, then tied length of hose to make ribs
covered hose ribe with great stuff and while still wet wrapped the ribs with .3 mill plastic shrink wrap.
I forgot to take a picture of the step of me trying not to catch the ribs on fire,, as I melted the plastic taught
then I apply my favorite color for dried flesh look
what the ribs are starting to look like
mounted the head on a stick added a flashing strobe in the head and in the ribs, battery op..
here is my daughter using a golf club to reach up and scratch his nose.. (note hood makes his head look to small so it has been removed)
with lighting and fog at night
another view the toters get as they walk buy him at night..
and for christmas he is going to become jack Skeleton in a sandie clause suit... (as long as he is useful he will stay out of the fireplace)

Thank you... it is fun to find a way to reuse what you have at hand,, and Halloween allows you to be very creative....
I have made some changes and will take pictures of those. I added skin to the arms with some hanging off,, shows up well in the red spot light. also added a flicker light Candelabra to his lead hand to light his way...

Those ribs turned out super cool. I went out and bought a bunch of spray foam and contact cement today to get started on some corpsing. Thanks for the great idea.
