I don't know about you guys but i could not find just the adapter and hose for a fog spitter. I didn't want to pay 40-60 bucks for a prop when all I wanted was the adapter and hose. I hit the Spirit store and took a peak at a display to see how it was hooked up. Then I hit old faithful, the Habitat for Humanity Store. I scored a 7' hose that goes from your built-in dishwasher to the sink for a buck. The hose appears to be 7/8" O.D. I had several PVC fittings back at the house so I wasn't concerned with that. The fogger I use is 700 watts. This setup absolutely rocks, for a $1.50!

Below is a picture of the fitting I used. The white one is pre-drill and paint. The inside diameter fit over the fogger outlet perfectly. The holes allow for the intake of cool air.

I hot glued the rubber end of the drain hose into the end of the pvc fitting. It isn't going anywhere! I put the screw in the fitting just so I could snug it down on the fogger outlet.

Here you can see it attached to the fogger.

And here it is in action. I stuck it in one of my skeletons for giggles. Even with 7' hose length fog comes out like water out of a fire hose. I ran a full cycle and the hose got warm and that was it. No doubt safe and secure. I couldn't be happier with the results. I hope you can put this to use!

Ingenious! I have hit a couple of garage sales in the past and use old vacuum cleaner hoses and a pool cleaner hose. I modify the hoses similar to what you did, but like your ideas better!!

From what I can see a new hose only runs about 10 bucks + 50 cents or so for the fitting. In my thrift store travels this off season I am going to be stocking up in these babies!

Ive done something similar but the heat from the fogger melted the hose. have you ran it long enough to see how hot the hose gets?

I ran a full cycle through it and the hose was only warm at the inlet. I have no doubt that heat won't be an issue. Plus with it being a dishwasher hose it is designed to be exposed to higher temps. I tried a hose from a sump pump and it did start to melt at the inlet. The fogger I used was 700 watt. I have not tried it on anything higher.
