Dream of going to Transworld one day but between money and finagling an invite didn't happen this year. We'll see how this "open to the public version" sponsored by Transworld event stacks up. So far...
Use your Michael's coupons or wait for a sale and buy some of those vine wreaths. Soak them in water for a day and then unwind them. Actually my wife was pulling them apart last year without soaking...
Turned out really nice! Good job. I liked the old sign too! It had a nice shape.
Once you feel good about the amount of tombstones I don't think you can ever have enough fencing. Not those little two foot fences you buy at the store (although they make nice plot fences), I mean...
Thought I'd share my first attempt at the plastic painters sheet/heatgun method for corpsing a Walgreen's skeleton we bought last year. I guess really it's not corpsing, I just wanted to give him...
UGL is the company that makes Drylok. I think they have about 10 or 12 colors. he gray turns out real good with a black wash and some white dry brushing, gives a nice stone look.
Home Depot has the UGL Drylok colors in their little color mixer computer machine but you have to tell the employees its there under UGL. I almost had to argue with the guy once that it was there, no...
VERY amazing detail work!
Look forward to seeing it soldier!
Thanks again everyone! As my wife did 95% of the labor on this I'll be sure to pass on all your kind comments.
Sorry Soldierwelsh this project went under several revisons as we went along so no tutorial. I'm sure you can see how it was put together though. It's how you build any column frame but one of the...
Spirit calls theirs a spinning motor . We bought ours a couple years ago for less than $10 at another Halloween store but can't remeber the name. I'm guessing it can be found cheaper than Spirit's...
Thanks for your kind comments everyone!
Here is our latest yard haunt addition for 2012. The column is all Styrofoam except the frame is built from 1x2's. The skull turns using one of those mechanical turner thingys that most Halloween...
Great job! Is this part of an overall Ghost Busters theme?
I saw that one but wish they had more selection for the topper. Good prices though. Thanks for the recommendation!
We're looking for some trophies or awards for a community yard haunt judging that are a bit nicer than the plastic ones given for best costume. I've tried google without much success and with rather...
I know this is an old thread but just wanted to say thanks. I've learned a lot during your segments and without down playing the other segments its by far my favorite. Don't have any suggestions but...
The wolf's head is really nice but I think its the head on that stone design that makes it such a great prop. REALLY well done!
I have paint booth envy! Don't even get me started on the rest of it! What a HUGE work area! Thank you for sharing Terra. Some good organization ideas there too.
LMAO! Not sure my HOA is that forgiving Unorthodox and you should have won first place with that prop ...WOW!
Me too Phillip! Looking forward to your photos!
I would like to see your Halloween prop shops! My garage was an absolute disaster last year after Halloween and I,m trying to get it more efficiently setup and organized this year, material storage,...
Thanks Colenjacksdad ! I'm one of those see it to understand it guys...I know,sad... Thank you for your time and response. Now for a trip to HB!
