Hey All,
I am really excited about entering this contest, I have been wanting to build a few new tombstones for the coming season, so I picked myself up some 2" foam and some other supplies and started building.
I hope I am adhering to the rules of the contest, I am new to this forum so please let me know if I am doing this right. Your comments are welcome.

progress and bug bites –

Well, I started carving a few of my new stones; the dark, three calls to dinner and the mosquitos finally shut down my operation until at least the weekend. Made some good progress with the blanks, I'm trying out a couple of new ideas with weathering and cracking, some are pretty severe:

I have a tutorial on my site that outlines the process, I'll be making as many tombstones as I can from 2 sheets of pink insulation foam. I stopped by Michaels (took the day off work)
. They have a few Halloween items out today! Bought a cool skeleton bust for $16 and a fake raven for $6, I also picked up some sculpy and paints.
I'm having fun working in my yard as the neighbors do slow, curious drive-bys... They know some new creepyness is coming, they just don't know what.
I'll be posting more photos as I get some of this knocked off my list...

I really hope so. I'm trying not to spend too much! Its coming together pretty quickly. I have all of my tombstones carved, a few need some lettering. I want to make one from some of the scraps, and a chocolates container I've been wanting to use as an urn, It doesn't look like much yet. Here is a photo:

I did get this cross done tonight as well:

The knight is a piece of resin cast statuary I got at a yard sale for like $4.00, The rest is 2" foam and white packing foam. I wanted to make this one taller but couldn't find suitable materials.
I've arranged with Mrs. to have a few hours alone on this project tomorrow... !
I'll post more pics tomorrow night.
sleepy now...

[COLOR="YellowGreen"]Yep, so far sooooo good. I like the knight with the "eye" looking cross. Hum? Reminds me of the Knights of Templar or something. Now that is scary. New world order....
Well carry on with your zzzzzz's. Will be on the look out for your next post!Today the Pond. Tomorrow The World!
