Okay – gonna try to do this right.
Rule # 1 Create post/Thread within this Scary Scene Topic.

Photo’s are snippets of the “project in the works” and full description (“back story”).
This 1st posting also covers the #2 rules of entry: all entries must have 2 pics taken during creation of project and Rule # 3b : 1 photo must include local paper with date stamp to verify project was erected during contest time frame. Check.

Millard McVee’s Swamp Shack.
“I saw them die.
Emptied of their life.
Hacked one by one. Castrated and their heads impaled on wooden sticks. Blood and Entrails strewn wherever they landed. The scrotums were hung, over there), next to the fire.
The hacker paraded around with the body parts and bathed his body in their blood. “They” just stare from their sticks, with frozen eyes of death, mouths agape in horror. The swamp air, thick with heat, brought in the bloodsucking mosquitoes and an alligator, slowly, crept closer. It was horrible.
I closed my eyes, wishing it to be a nightmare, but I knew that I was witnessing what the town folk called, Swamp Monster Millard McVee.
Legend has it; he was “cut” from the womb by a murderous devil and cast into the swamp along with his dead mother. Nursing on his Mamas rotten flesh, he somehow survived. Some say a swamp hag found him. Some just say he’s a devil’s spawn. They say he is looking for the comfort of his mother’s arms. So he paints his body with the blood and wraps himself in their skins. Longing for the womb, I suppose. It doesn’t matter if its man or beast, he will just slaughter whatever he comes across in these swamps. The castration? Just something he does. He is also known to impale the heads on a stick and sometimes kisses them as if to breathe life back into the poor things. Then he disappears deep into the swamp laughing as if possessed by the devil. This story is centuries old and I didn’t believe. Gruesome things happen in this swamp all the time. I just didn’t believe.
When the crazed laughter began echoing in the swamp. I opened my eyes and you were here and McVee was gone. I am not sure how long I have hid here. A couple days, I think? …..Or maybe just a few hours.
I have been too scared to run, afraid that he would see. I doesn’t seem real that I saw them being hacked! I saw Swamp Monster Millard McVee swing his axe and their heads roll to the ground.
Lo, the Legend is true. I don’t want to die. Not like that.
Shhh. I hear something.
Is there someone behind that tree? “
