Cropping will be considered the initial creation of the picture as it selects what is in the picture and does not alter the items.

wait a minute, you want scary, it's not the gas station price, it's a tie between the scary person standing at the register complaining about the gas prices and the attendant who has heard for the 1 millionth time from every single customer the same complaint. sorry, i work at a gas station

Creating a scary scene in one picture is harder than you would think. A movie or series of pictures will allow you to present the scare. But to capture it in one picture, difficult.
I just want to say Way to go! to everyone that is in this contest and Thank's for letting me play. So far everyone is doing a fantastic job and I can't wait to see the rest of the entries finished and posted.

I "Ditto" Blood Hound and ToeTag. It is very difficult to capture a scary scene by just one photography. At least the scene that "we " saw in our minds eye ! Everyone that has posted final entries, so far, have worked very hard. Not only putting together thier"scene", but ended up having to be a photographer, lighting expert, amd creative writer, along with other talents not seen in the photo. For some, it was easier than for others. But I think we all stressed about what we were presenting. It seemed like a fun thing to do. And it was fun 90% of the way. But that 10% of frustration wasn't. To put something up in front of a forum to be "judged" by our peers.....I don't think entered our minds when we really entered. It wasn't until we clicked the "post" button. The real scary part then becomes how our presentation is percieved.
Those of us that have finally posted our "entries" are at best , relieved and are back to being excited about the contest, seeing other entries, and being able to go back to reading or joining other posts. I for one am excited about getting to work on more props and misc for my haunt. Taking the lesson from my experience with 'LIGHTING' much more seriously. Congraduations to everyone. I think EVERYONE did a kick ass job and worked hard. I hope some of the forum posters that don't usual check this area , wander up to the contest entries when it comes times to judge. There are so many talented people down there that we would like their comments from. It can only make us better in our haunts ! Those of you that haven't posted your final entry. Hang in there and get it finished. It feels good , once you just post it. whooooooo hoooooooo!Today the Pond. Tomorrow The World!

cyonfrogqueen....ok girl...you convinced me !!!!! I too agree with all you said. I have not posted an entry yet cause even tho I have written the story and have done some work on the scene, I'm scared I won't have time to finish working on things by the deadline.
So I'm gonna post what I have & hope to heck we can be done by tues. night. We are working thru the weekend so its gonna be a little rough to get to the scene thing but we are gonna try!!
I would be thrilled just to have it set up for halloween!!lol
