omgggggggggg LT Scare you made my day with that post hahahahahaha! i am crying now this is so funny and for some reason i can see myself in that picture ...........

Eeeegads ! I just have to vent a little to someone ....
I just got up in my attic ( a billion degrees x 2 in a florida attic in July).
I was peeking to see if I could tell what set of containers I was needing to get to for items for my "scary" scene. Most of them are frosted plastic that you can somewhat see inside of. And I am lookin.....lookin .....and I see moisture.
Like consensation - What the frak???????
We had some rain last October ....and somethings got a little damp (covered or brought some items in) ...but I left things out to dry for WEEKS after Halloween and before I packed it up. In fact, I left the Alligator out for about a month. GRRRRRRRRRR I was only looking to grab 1 or 2 of the containers.....NOW I AM GOING TO HAVE TO DRAG ALL THAT STUFF DOWN AND SEE WHAT NICE MILDEWY THINGS I AM GOING TO HAVE TO TRY AND SALVAGE. Geeesh. And all the while, I have a kid begging me to take her out to learn to drive....(she just got her learner permit.)......

Bummer. Thought those containers were supposed to keep the wet out?? Hope you hve no big losses.

I know exactly what the scariest scene in my head is. However, posting a pic of my wife holding a credit card in one hand and the car keys in the other on this forum, where there are so many (very nice) ladies, I'm afraid I'd get killed.

I'm sure my hubby would agree!! Especially if I were shopping at the Halloween store!!

Hook up some utilities ( box in front) fix a couple of boards on the front porch, get the old rockin chair..and I'd say its move in condition ! Ofcourse I noticed there is a couple of "past" residents ( spirit orbs and engery streaks ) that are still hanging around. And to think, that we all spend big money to try to get out places "looking" like that for halloween.

Seriously, any history behind this old place that is noteworthy? Murder, Mayhem, secret trist? thanks for sharing

Well for some reason at my place everybody seems to come to life when you mention the word...."Contest"! And hey thats a good thing, I'm for whatever gets them up & moving around. As with the rest of you we have the same problem here in North Carolina with this darn heat so Jerry hooked up a bunch of fans in the garage & has made up his mind he is going to get this mess out of the way to make a "Scary Scene".

Really this one will be up to me as I told all of you that I wanted to extend our haunt into the garage this year because of all the problems of people trying to get in & out of the house when they come thru on Halloween night. I had planned on working on this garage in September but we have 2 weeks off right now & I guess we are going to see if we can pull something together to join all of you in the building of a "Scary Scene".

Its been so much fun reading about all the ideas here & even funnier how many questions came out of it......boy Larry they are keeping you on your toes!

This contest is awesome. We already have a couple of good ideas that we are tossing around that we hope will be good enough to enter. We are wondering if we will be able to decorate this year due to unfortunate circumstances, so this sounds like just what we need!Thank you sooo much for making it possible to keep the Halloween spirit going strong this year.

Larry- I already know the answer, but gonna ask anyway ( that make me a Pain in the As*)
ok I know. We can't crop a photo because that would be altering it right? Arrrrgh. Overhead utility wires @#$%^!!???!#.
