Why can't anyone put prices when they post stuff for sale? It's very irritating to have to ask especially when it takes forever to get a response.

Good point, and a reminder to members posting things for sale. It's a courtesy and just good business to post an asking price for something you offer here. This eliminates unecessary pm's/emails asking how much an item is, especially from people who may not really be interested. Please rembmer to list your asking price and note if it's firm, obo, etc..

I can totally understand this. Just edited one of my listings and added a price. My apologies if my listing was one that sparked this thread...
By the way, I love the avatar Chaserbug.

In my experience in other forums, this is the only one that doesn't require price listings. Vendors should be required to post a price unless, like another person said, it links to an outside site where the price is easily seen!
You know how bothersome it is to have to find someone in a store to ask them how much something costs, then have to wait around while they look in their computer, only to find out it costs too much and you don't want it, but just wasted so much of their time? Yeah :P we should avoid that.

Also, by requiring a listed price, it avoids "informal" auctions. It really should be a listing requirement.

This is really the only market forum I've ever seen that didn't have that requirement. I'll message the boss!

Rule of thumb - if they didn't post the price, they knew it as too high.
