I agree with Evilernie. Either you got ripped off, or you're trying to rip someone off. This costume is for sale brand new on Fright Catalog for $500.00.
http://www.frightcatalog.com/hallowe...stume-1104150/
And I believe you can get it for even cheaper directly thought Bump In The Night Productions (Though their site has been down for a while now.)
Also, post pictures of the actual costume -Stock photos won't do.
Good luck with your sale.

Yeah and I had to pay to get it shipped to Canada FROM Bump in the Night.
Should I scan the receipt?
Did you not read I said to throw prices at me?

not sure I like having people come to the forum just to post their items for sale(Especially for your very first post) and second post coppin' some 'tude. Ive been seeing alot of these type of sales threads lately.
I wish we can implement something for new forum members, like a mandatory post count before offering your wares for sale. The community doesnt know who the newbies are, most of these people never introduce themselves, and were just supposed to trust they will mail any items sold here?
Also whats bad is just linking to an ebay page, like, hey, heres some halloween stuff someone here mught want. Its like they researched google for halloween sites to post their ads, found us (and probably other sires) posted just the one time and never to be heard from again.
I belong to several forums and a few implement a post count (of quality posts not just 3 word posts) and to get permission from admins before posting anything for sale, whether its through the forum only or both forum/ebay, or just ebay links.
I dont appreciate people just using this forum like we'll buy anything their selling at whatever price they want "because" were into Halloween.
The well informed seller on their own merchandise usually means a sale, and many of these one post wonders are NOT well informed. Most of us visit and participate in threads regularly, we follow product prices and trends, we are well informed, and know when were being duped. We know when items are hard to find, and can justify if an item is priced above original purchasing price.
We know if something is currently available and were to get it if we have a need/want for it. If we dont, someone else usually does, and posting here we help each other out.
In the case of this particular thread, the OP deleted his original message, so anyone coming in after cannot see those details. That is something else thats a no no on sales sections in a a few other forums I frequent. The OP can change their original message all they want, but a mod will have been allowed the time to make a copy of that OP and keep updating it as the sale items/prices change.
The OP wanted $900 for his costume. We will probably never see this poster again, and quite frankly I hope to not see his attitude again. He paid alot for shipping, sure, I can believe that, but that doesnt justify the price increase, when others pointed out they can get the exact same thing brand new right now for far less.
Do a little research on your sale items and know your target buyers and check your expectations at the door. I should know, Ive had to sell alot of my stuff recently, and even though I paid alot more for them, and they are in unused/unopened mint quality, I know I will NEVER get the amount I paid back on them. I WILL have to take a loss
Not crazy about it, but thats the way it is when selling off market. The only time you can get away with an amount in the sellers favor is when they have a rare item and someone who wants it badly enough can afford it.
If the OP knew anything, he SHOULD know if he spent more than 5 minutes registering and posting his item, that this site is mainly targeting home haunters. We do alot of DIY and things on the cheap.
Sure, theres a few store owners here, but the largest chunk of us are enthusiasts. We make most of our stuff or show others how to do it. We follow sales threads and were to go when things are cheap. We rarely buy anything at full price, most are content to wait for sales.
If you want to sell an item you KNOW would be more than you paid for it, this usually doesnt include shipping, you need to justify in the right way, such as stated you paid with shipping
The best bet for any post 1 sellers is to state what you know and hope for the best. Example is the costume here, you tell us you paid $600 for it with tax and since your in a foreign country than the supplier you paid a ton in shipping and border taxes to the tune of $300. Insert a little humor here, I know I was crazy to pay that much in shipping but this has got to be the very best costume Ive ever owned, It was alot of fun wearing for the 2 times I did. But now I have interest in another costume from the same supplier. Since I know they are going to gank me on shipping to me I was hoping someone would purchase this for a fair price, please send me your offers.
If your open to offers say so, if you have a set price in mind, keep it fair in accordance with your item and rarity and condition.

I'd just like to say I had no intentions of ticking anyone off or anything - Just looking out for fellow forum members.
Scanning the receipt is a great idea.
And I guess I didn't noticed the "throw prices at me" part - and it's hard to see now that the original post has been deleted.
Please take our advice to heart and don't be offended... We're just looking out for everyone and making sure everyone's happy!
