I am selling a one of a kind Halloween Prop. This prop was made for a special halloween show for Oct 31st, 2009. It is brand new and was used for 2 mins total. One side of the prop is a normal looking door/vestibule. Rotate the platform 180 degrees and you have the same scene but with a haunted, horror look. The Evil side has cracks running throughout the door, molding, Walls and floor tiles. The door itself is static. This platform is being sold at cost. You must have a box truck or an open trailer to pick up from my residence. Item is currently being stored in my garage. 631-457-2455

I'm curious, how did you use it in the show?

It was used in a transformation scene. An evil looking little boy was placed on the good side. There was an entire scene where mother told the little kids that grandma was coming home and they had better listen. The little boy was told to stop playing his toy piano and answer the door. Once the boy turned around and grabbed the handle, we had 2 dark priests rotate the platform to reveal myself on the other side holding the handle and standing in the same position as the boy. It seems we might be starting a prop company from this halloween show (myspace.com/666them) because this prop as well as a satanic sacrificial altar came out amazing. We want to design one of a kind props but do not have the space yet. I will post 2 other threads on how each prop was built with pics of the evolution of each prop!

That was kinda my question as well.
I see that it spins 180* to show the other door, but what is the startle/scare effect.

Not trying to bash, trying to understand and good luck on your sale.

Yes, I saw that the door knob was not on the same side. If it were, then the door would be twice as thick. In the midst of the confusion, no one pointed that out. lol

The effect was a transformation from boy to man from good to evil and it was quite effective for all of 1.5 minutes of the show.

If you knew the story of "THEM", then you would understand. A musical artist by the name of King Diamond released his best work EVER when he released the conceptual album called "THEM". This prop was built for "THEM" the king diamond tribute band for the opening sequence of their Halloween Show in Long Island, NY. The opening sequence involved "Mother" telling her children that grandma is coming home from a long vacation. King Diamond wrote himself into the story and at the climax of the scene (pre-recording), Mother tells king to stop playing his broken toy piano and answer the door. Right then, our child actor playing the young king, turned and made a motion to open the door. Once that happened, 2 dark priests rotated the platform to reveal the transformation of young king to current day king who is older and much much more evil including the platform he is standing on.

Sounds like a pretty cool intro on stage for the band.
