    Nice props, but YIKE$$$!!!!!!!!!

Ok, asking the forum here......if YOU had to build those props, how much do think you could build each one for? And yes you can use the stuff laying around your house to cut down costs!

I don't think those are handmade props as I've seen them for sale by other distributors on craigslist. I haven't seen the Frank before, but there are a couple people selling the clown and pumpkin head kid around here.

By the way, if these were handmade, for that quality those prices would be dirt cheap. Yes, the parts used to make props like this can be inexpensive, but the time spent thinking the job through, planning it all out, working through trial and error, and putting it all together, runs into the hundreds of hours easilly. If I charged myself at my work labor rate for all the time I put in on The Creature project I did this year, I would be at $7,000 in labor alone.

It cost me about $450 in parts to make The Creeper, but when I was asked if it was for sale, my reply was "it is for $5,000.00", and I was serious as I had at least that much in labor hours on that effort.

But the costumes were fairly simple, and the masks were off the shelf (the clown anyway - that was the only one I instantly recognized). Depending on how well they're built they didn't cost very much to make. And if you want to get paid for your labor, craigslist is the wrong place to sell props.

Which should be the first tip off these aren't handmade. Most of the really nice handmade props you for sale are on ebay. I would bet if you look through the Tampa craigslist, you'll see where this same seller is selling all sorts of decorations. There's two guys up here doing that. Looks like they've opened up a Chinese import shop in their homes.
