I know there has been quite some discussion on the corpse re-animated vs. Spirit's official Frankenstein, so maybe this will help some of you decide- there is a seller on eBay with the corpse re-animated listed for $155 BIN plus $15 s&h. That's $170 total! I just thought I'd share that with everybody since it's so much cheaper than even the $178.88 before shipping on hauntedprops.com They also have Count Von Mortis ($150 + $15) and Mathilda the witch ($127 + $15) from the same line- all three way cheaper than any other online source! Here are the links:

There is also this seller with the corpse re-animated with real pix of him as opposed to a stock photo. I think these pix do him much more justice!:

I've bought from CGworldwide in the past & the have been very nice to deal with. Hauntedprops does seem to be a few $$ higher on stuff that i've purchased cheaper else where........ but a few things I did buy from HP, they were good & no problems.

Do you know if someone on Ebay is selling a "Honky the Clown" (from the same brand as "Reanimated corpse") on those prices? Everywhere (because of shipping or so) he is 200 or more. This guy only charges 15 which makes the prop not to be as expensive.

I received my corpse re-animated today from haunted props.com. Putting him together right now. So far I love it, but haven't gotten him all wired up yet, getting anxious to get to that. So far, here's my assessment:

    Cons:
I do not like his shoes and will be on the lookout for suitable replacements, most likely making my own. They are very thin plastic and I don't see them surviving without getting busted and cracked.

This isn't a negative for me, but I know some people have storage issues. He's not built to be taken apart and put back together easily. It's not like the Gemmy collapsable props. I keep all my "friends" in the basement and don't break them down every year. This isn't a con for me, but for those of you who prefer a prop that pops apart and stores in a small box, this will require a lot of work every year.

    Pros:
His head and hands are made of very thick plastic, no worries of durability with them. The paint and detail on both is fantastic.

The frame is well built. Your typical tubes that slide into each other, but this one has predrilled holes and screws to hold it all together tightly and securely. Most of my other props if you grab it by the pole near the top and lift you severe your prop in half. Not this big guy. And he is tall. I haven't attached the head yet but his shoulders are taller than me.

He does look exactly like the pictures on that one eBay listing. Once I get him all put together I'll let you know if was with the $170 or not. So far, so good, as long as the movement and sound are like the video I will be more than pleased with my purchase.

Don't think you'll see a Honky just yet. I ordered him from haunted props when I got my corpse re-animated. Inquired on the status just yesterday and was told that Honky was delayed, hasn't arrived from China yet. They didn't have an expected due date on him. So it appears there was some sort of hold up on him. I havent seen anyone with one in hand just yet.
