Here's one. I tried another tutorial before but it was missing steps, so I can't say for sure how well this one works.

If you're interested, here's a thread from a member here that's selling them.

    And here's another tutorial.

I've never made them before & may try at some point to do them but not for this year. That tutorial reminds of how we made corn husk & string dolls, same sorta theory.

The tutorial RCIAG posted is mostly what I learned from (even though the one I had found a few months back was butchered and you had to join this dumb group to learn it). Here are mine, the devil is my first attempt, the mummy was my second. I prefer the use of hand although it can be kinda crappy for proportions, I found trying to use pins difficult as they wouldn't stay put (kept unraveling >:/). I really hope you don't have tons of guests because your hands will hurt sooo much after you're done. I'd like to find what kind of yarn/string they use because the ordinary stuff gets fuzzy and most string is too thin. I love these little guys and want to make a whole bunch more. Share your party favors (although they'd make good invites too) when you've finished them!!!

Thanks so much you guys, i had some of the steps of the tutorial that RCIAG posted but couldnt get the middle secured. I've made 2 just solid tan dollies so far. I'll have to post pics once I find my usb cord. I want to try the tutorial Sugar_Skull posted too, looks simple and looks like it would be pretty simple to make them bigger that way. I am so excited!! Thanks again =) pics soon

OH and i love both of the pics u posted Sugar_Skull they turned out great. Thats funny you dont like the string being kinda fuzzy cause in the pics I like how they look sort of soft. What I used in my little experiment doll is a cheap cotton twine that I found at Big Lots. it was like 250 feet for $2 super cheap. I couldnt get the portions even close to right using my hand but with the pins before i couldnt tell which direction they were going so I copied that from the hand section and was able to get the knot in the middle to stay doing head and legs first then the arms. My 2 that i made so far are both just plain bodies but now that I have a better idea of what i'm doing I want to decorate the next ones.... Might not be able to do them till next week tho

Cool I can't wait to see them!! I've made two more since the last post, one for me and one for a friend, I'm posting them under the crafts section. I got some black yarn for a dollar at the dollar store and it seems to be much better for string dolls, whatever I had used before was way thicker and difficult to work with. I don't know why pins wouldn't work for me lol, they just kept popping out and shifting, it would probably work better to use a scrap piece of wood and nail the pattern onto it. My big issue right now with using my hand is one leg or arm will end up being a little longer...but maybe that can be like my signature mark lol. Good luck with yours XD

I really like some of the models mystringdolls have. "Mr Revenge" is one of my favourites!
