Our 12 year old daughter wants to do Astrid, from How to Train Your Dragon. The idea is to incorporate her dragon, the Deadly Nadder, in a similar fashion to the Jousting characters of Labyrinth. I need a tutorial on making the body of the dragon, as her lower-half, like in Labyrinth.
I'm also trying to do the wings, as extendable(possibly flapping), but I have a thing on how to do that...

I think I can mechanically link the head and tail so they work to balance each other(head-up/tail-up, head-right/tail-left). Then, with head 'out' as far as she can reach, as the head goes up and down, the tail does the same, while the wings move in the opposite direction(ie: Head-up and down/tail-up and down/wings-down and up).
Mechanicals, I think I can do, it's the body and legs, tail and neck I need real help with.
Thanks, tons!
