Hi all,
I think it was last year that I came across Skeleton Jack sitting on the roof of a house with lights in his hands. I saved the pic but, can't find out any inf. on here or the xmas forum on how to make him. I see that he is made out of the plastic/latex head and the body is pvc. I would really like to see how the hands are made and how he is mounted. Any help would be great since I would like to start on the project for this year.
Regards

Wristslitter's Nightmare display is awesome (totally love his Zero!):

I think UnOrthodOx has a good Santa Jack step-by-step:

I came across this on craigs- http://orlando.craigslist.org/for/1879211642.html
A life sized Jack, I wonder when he was made, I always seem to miss stuff like these. She says he retailed for $500 but will sell him for $300. I doubt anyone would buy it for $500, unless your mega rich. She lives near Orlando and there are alot of discount retailers out there, Id bet he went for $150 unless she has the receipt. I guess Im a little bitter about upselling, so dont mind me. We all know we can build one for far less, he is an easy character to make after all.

Growler I built a 9ft Jack last year and I can tell you how I made the hands if that helps. I know wristslitter made one as well as another person had one on a roof. I made a standing one to greet people. This year I an sewing his black suit for Halloween. I am more then happy to help just PM me if interested.

Here is mine from last year... pretty much a rush job but got tons of photos.
PVC pipe heated for arms/legs..... the belt is from a pirate costume. Pillow body taped to form. Red material for jacket and hat. Old mask. Old skeleton gloves with finger removed.
No paint used... red tape and glue..... black tape for boots with cardboard. Maybe 2 hours total... he still in one piece and sat outside for 60 days. Nothing great but got the job done...

Thanks guys. I got the body parts cut today. How do you guys attach the head to the pvc? I had a couple ideas but, it needs to sit on my garage in pretty strong winds. I could really use some help on this part.

I used a foam wig head. They were cheap at goodwill when I found them like 75 cents. I was able to mount the foam head as it had a hole on the bottom that fit perfectly onto the pvc. So basically I made a T joint of pvc that connected the shoulders and the head and looked like a neck.
I hope that made sense...
